<p><strong>Title:</strong></p> <p>Minimal Data Set for the Reproduction of Findings in &quot;Elayan et al., Cohort Profile: The ENTWINE iCohort Study, a Multinational Longitudinal Web-Based Study of Informal Care&quot;.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Study Summary:</strong></p> <p>The data sets provided herein are derived from the ENTWINE iCohort Study, a multinational web-based cohort study employing an intensive longitudinal design. The study integrates a two-wave panel survey (baseline and 6-month follow-up) with optional weekly diary assessments. The cohort comprises caregivers and care recipients from nine countries: the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Italy, Sweden, Israel, Germany, Greece, Poland, and Ireland. The study aimed to examine the influence of personal, psychological, social, economic, and geographic factors on caregiving experiences.</p> <p>Participants were eligible if they met the following criteria: 1) residency in a participating country; 2) capability to respond to surveys in English, Swedish, German, Dutch, Italian, Greek, Hebrew, or Polish; 3) access to the internet and ability to use it; 4) at least 18 years of age; 5) self-declared cognitive and physical capacity to complete the surveys; 6) either providing care to an adult (aged &ge; 18 years) with a chronic health condition, disability, or other care need, or receiving care from an adult due to similar conditions.</p> <p>The detailed methodology and results of the study can be found in the associated manuscript. Data from “A Mixed Method Approach to Understanding the Public Health Impact of a School-Based Citizen Science Program to Reduce Arsenic in Private Well Water”

Objectives We have approached the problem of low well water testing rates in Maine and New Hampshire communities by developing the All About Arsenic (AAA) project, which engages secondary school teachers and students as citizen scientists in collecting well water samples for analysis of arsenic and other toxic metals and supports their outreach efforts to their communities. Methods We assessed this project’s public health impact by analyzing student data relative to existing well water quality datasets in both states. In addition, we surveyed private well owners who contributed well water samples to the project to determine the actions taken to mitigate arsenic in well water. Plot-based vegetation data for a large tract of old--growth hemlock-northern hardwood forest, Marquette Co., Michigan: 1988

In 1987-88 members of the Burton V. Barnes lab at University of Michigan conducted a landscape inventory of portions of the Huron Mountain Club lands (primarily, the self-declared 'Reserved Area') in Powell Township, northern Marquette County, MI. The data-set deposited here, collect under direction of Philip E. Stuart (then a graduate student in the lab) focuses on the ca. 1200 ha of old-growth, mesic hemlock-northern hardwood forests within the larger property. 313 plots (450 m^2) were established at nodes of an approximately 10 chain (~192 m) grid that fell within these forest types. The data-set includes canopy tree measurements, ground-layer cover estimates (for a subpplot), and a number of soil and topographic variables (measured directly and derived). A description of the study and results is published in Simpson et al. 1990. Occasional Papers of the Huron Mountain Wildlife Foundation Number 4, with associated maps.

CCE LTER process cruise, in the California Current region, event log records including date, time, position and activity for use in post-cruise data integration based on co-sampling indexes. From 2006 to 2019 CCE LTER used a locally developed event logging system. During P2107, CCE LTER started to utilize the R2R Event Logger on UNOL ships, 2006 - 2024 (ongoing).

The event logger program developed and maintained by the California Cooperative Oceanic Fisheries Investigations, SIO, program is used aboard CCE LTER process cruises to create indexes with temporal, spatial and activity information for post-cruise data integration. The event log is configured aboard the ship for the recording of sampling events by both ship crew personnel on the bridge, and research personnel in the lab. The event log is processed post-cruise to correct for various errors.

MCR LTER: Data from Duvall, Rosman and Hench, in review. Representation of coral reef roughness using obstacle and surface-based approaches, submitted to JGR: Oceans

This archive contains natural coral reef topography data from the northern coast of Mo’orea, French Polynesia. These data were used to compute reef roughness density using obstacle- and surface-based estimates and models, and to compare the two approaches for representing reef topography. Primary support for this product came from the National Science Foundation Physical Oceanography program (OCE-1435530 and OCE-1435133), and as well as Duke University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. This material is based upon work supported by the U.S. National Science Foundation under Grant No. OCE 16-37396 (and earlier awards) as well as a generous gift from the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation. Research was completed under permits issued by the French Polynesian Government (Délégation à la Recherche) and the Haut-commissariat de la République en Polynésie Francaise (DTRT) (Protocole d'Accueil 2005-2019). This work represents a contribution of the Moorea Coral Reef (MCR) LTER Site.

North Temperate Lakes LTER: Secchi Disk Depth; Other Auxiliary Base Crew Sample Data 1981 - current

Secchi disk depth is measured in the deepest part of each lake for the eleven primary lakes (Allequash, Big Muskellunge, Crystal, Sparkling, Trout lakes, unnamed lakes 27-02 [Crystal Bog] and 12-15 [Trout Bog], Fish, Mendota, Monona and Wingra). The disk is circular, 20 cm in diameter, and has alternating black and white quadrants. It is lowered using a calibrated Kevlar rope to minimize stretching. Readings are made on the shaded side of the boat both with (secview) and without (secnview) the aid of a plexiglass viewer. The points at which the disk disappears while being lowered and reappears while being raised are averaged to determine Secchi depth. Auxiliary data include time of day, air temperature, cloud cover, wave height, wind speed and direction and whether the lake was ice covered on the sampledate. Sampling Frequency: fortnightly during ice-free season - every 6 weeks during ice-covered season for the northern lakes. The southern lakes are similar except that sampling occurs monthly during the fall and typically only once during the winter (depending on ice conditions).
