Data from KdUINO. Loch Leven. H2020 MONOCLE project

These data correspond to time series of light measurements taken at different depths.
The data was taken with low-cost sensors (light-frequency converters) within the framework of the H2020 MONOCLE project.
Data were obtained at Loch Leven, Scotland, during the first validation campaign for this project.
More information on the project at the link: https://monocle-h2020.eu/

Repository of Results, Deliverable 2.1 H2020 4RinEU Project

The files reported here form the repository of results provided by a parametric study performed within the Deliverable 2.1 "Geo-clusters and Building Archetypes" of the European H2020 4RinEU Project (https://4rineu.eu/).

The repository provides, for the four building typologies in the six geo-clusters considered in 4RinEU, results in the following KPIs thematic area: energy, comfort and environment; besides, economic issues and building site management are implemented in another repository included in Project Deliverable D4.2.

The repository consists of four Excel files, one per each building typology: Apartment Block, Multi-Family House, Single Family House, Terraced House. Each row of the file corresponds to one simulation. 1734 simulations are collected per each building typology (289 simulations per each of the 6 geo-cluster, including the PRE-RETROFIT scenario).

The use of the repository allows the comparison between different renovation scenarios and it is the starting point for a preliminary analysis on the renovation in the design phase.

For more details on the repository structure and 4RinEU Project in general, please visit https://4rineu.eu/reports/

SMART-Plant project flyer (H2020)

Scale-up of low-carbon footprint MAterial Recovery Techniques in existing wastewater treatment PLANTs

SMART-plant aims to support the water sector to improve and ensure environmental protection, become more adaptive, and respond to contemporary environmental and societal challenges by introducing innovative technological solutions, moving towards resource recovery approaches in wastewater management.

SMART-plant will scale-up and demonstrate eco-innovative solutions to upgrade existing WWTPs. Nine pilot low-carbon footprint systems will be applied in the real environment, in five different wastewater treatment plants with the aim of optimizing wastewater treatment, resource recovery, energy-efficiency and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. Through these processes, a comprehensive portfolio comprising of biopolymers, cellulose, fertilizers and intermediates will be recovered and processed up to the final commercial end products.

The SMART-Plant project promotes the energy efficient wastewater resource recovery concept, through the technology platform developed within existing plants to eventually prompt the development of new products and business opportunities.

Global market deployment will be achieved as the right fit solution for water utilities and relevant industrial stakeholders, considering the strategic implications of the resource recovery paradigm in case of both public and private water management. New public-private partnership models will be explored connecting the water sector to the chemical industry and its downstream segments such as the construction and agricultural sector, thus generating new opportunities for funding, as well as potential public-private competition.

Data and metadata of soil microbial community structure, enzyme activities, functional genes and earthworms derived from H2020 Diverfarming project

Soil data and metadata of soil microbial community structure, enzyme activities (dehydrogenase, β-glucosidase, leucine-aminopeptidase, alkaline phosphatase and arylsusfatase activities), N functional genes and earthworms from the different cases studies and long terms from WP4 "Impact of crop diversification on biodiversity", derived from H2020 Diverfarming project. The main objective of workpackage is to provide a scientific understanding of the link between diversified cropping systems, above- and belowground biodiversity, and the resulting ecosystem services provided by soil microorganisms, soil invertebrates and vegetation in agro-ecosystems. Soil organisms contribute to all biogeochemical cycles, Soil organic matter mineralization and stabilization, shape soil structure and have associations with plant species promoting growth and development. http://www.diverfarming.eu.

Data and metadata of crop yield and quality derived from H2020 Diverfarming project

Data and metadata of crop yield and quality from different cases studies and long terms from WP3 "Crop production and quality", derived from H2020 Diverfarming project. This workpackage provides robust and sound data about how diversified cropping systems with low-input practices and efficient use of resources have positive effects on crop production and quality, and so, farm yields and economic revenues for farmers is increased. This can increase trading productivity with high quality outputs, so improving the competitiveness of European agriculture in the global market. http://www.diverfarming.eu.
