Data for Linkage mapping of root shape traits associated with market class in two biparental carrot populations

This repository contains essential data to support the findings presented in the forthcoming publication titled "Linkage Mapping of Root Shape Traits Associated with Market Class in Two Biparental Carrot Populations." It includes VCF files for two distinct carrot biparental populations, as well as R code for filtering, constructing linkage maps, and conducting QTL analysis. Furthermore, the repository hosts phenotypic data gathered from these two biparental populations during the years 2020 and 2021.

Two carrot genetic maps, one for each population, have been made available alongside their respective phenotypic data.

The provided R code contains absolute working directory paths that may not function as intended on your system. The primary purpose of sharing this code is to offer readers insight into the techniques employed in this study. You may need to adapt the directory paths to suit your specific setup.

To assist readers in understanding the logical sequence of steps involved in our linkage mapping project, the R code scripts have been sequentially numbered from 0 to 10.

For more info contact: vegaalfaro@wisc.edu.

W4RES Case studies of women leading RHC market uptake

23 interviews were conducted with women (co-)leading or initiating RHC concepts in 8 different countries (IT, DK, EL, SK, AT, DE, BE, BG) that served as the background material for this dataset. Before conducting the interviews, the W4RES partners were asked to identify case studies based on:

• Structure of the organization

• Geographical outreach

• Visibility and interaction on social media

• Financial power

• Source of Renewable Energy

• Renewable Heating and Cooling concepts

It moreover entailed a scoring section in which the case studies were ranked according to:

• Technical innovation

• Social innovation

• Transferability

• Societal impact

• Political impact

• Market potential

• External communication

• Female leadership and influence

• Internal support measures for women

W4RES partners interviewed the female leaders and stakeholders in the organizations that ranked highest in the case study identification tables. These women were asked to reflect on the impact of their RHC solutions, the role of women in the organization, the support measures targeting women, as well as potential barriers and needs. The interview material was coded manually and collected in a synthesis matrix. This overview facilitates cross-case comparison and allows to see patterns for barriers and success factors.

Intelligent Energy Systems Ontology: Local flexibility market and power system co-simulation demonstration

The Intelligent Energy Systems Ontology (IESO) provides semantic interoperability within a society of multi-agent systems (MAS) developed in the scope of power and energy systems (PES). It leverages the knowledge from existing and publicly available semantic models developed for specific PES subdomains to accomplish a shared vocabulary among the agents of the MAS community, overcoming heterogeneity among the reused ontologies. IESO provides agents with semantic reasoning, constraints validation, and data uniformization. The use of IESO is demonstrated through the simulation of the management of a rural distribution network, considering the validation of the grid’s technical constraints. This dataset publishes files demonstrating: i) a snapshot of the initial semantic knowledge base (KB); ii) queries to the KB to get services inputs; iii) conversions between syntactic and semantic models;
iv) constraints validations; v) automatic conversion of units of measure.

Data for: Understanding consumers to inform market interventions for Singapore's shark fin trade

Sharks, rays and their cartilaginous relatives (Class Chondricthyes, herein 'sharks') are amongst the world's most threatened species groups, primarily due to overfishing, which in turn is driven by complex market forces including demand for fins. Understanding the high-value shark fin market is a global priority for conserving shark and rays, yet the preferences of shark fin consumers are not well understood. This gap hinders the design of evidence-based consumer-focused conservation interventions.

Using an online discrete choice experiment, we explored preferences for price, quality, size, menu types (as a proxy for exclusivity) and source of fins (with varying degrees of sustainability) among 300 shark fin consumers in Singapore: a global entrepot for shark fin trade.

Overall, consumers preferred lower-priuced fins sourced from responsible fisheries or produced using novel lab-cultured techniques. We also identified four consumer segments, each with distinct psychographics characteristics and consumption behaviors.

These preferences and profiles could be leveraged to inform new regulatory and market-based interventions regarding the sale and consumption of shark fins, and incentivize responsible fisheries and lab-cultured innovation for delivering conservation and sustainability goals.

In addition, message framing around health benefits, shark endangerment and counterfeiting could reinforce existing beliefs amongst consumers in Singapore and drive behavioral shifts to ensure that market demand remains within the limits of sustainable supply.

This dataset includes all the responses collected from the online discrete choice experiment which was implemented by a market survey company, as well as the goodness-of-fit chi-square analyses. These data were also used to plot the figures in the manuscript and the Supplemental Information. Password for excel sheet titled 'Final CEOE data' is 35433. Please refer to the published manuscript for more detailed information.

The authors received financial support from Silverstrand Capital awarded to Wildlife Conservation Society for the research, authorship, and publication of this work.

One document is covering the process type "congestion management", the other for "voltage control". Due to CGMES being TSO oriented, some attributes are missing to fully describe DSO processes. Therefore we had to extend the attribute "processType" to cover DSO needs.

Addition information about the Slovenian demo is available in the OneNet 10.4 deliverable (OneNet_D10.4_V1.0.pdf (onenet-project.eu)).

XSD is compliant with ReserveBid_Document defined by ENTSO-E (Reserve bid document UML model and schema (entsoe.eu)).
