Jewelled cross pendant - reconstruction

I visited the Ashmolean museum in Oxford at the weekend to view their excellent collection of Anglo Saxon finds. I have based this model on a jewelled cross pendant (see image below) on display at the museum. The original is made of gold and garnet and dates to 600 - 700 CE and represents the growing following Christianity had during this period in Britain. Christianity arrived in the late 500s and brought with it new forms of dress, architecture, art and led to new burial practices. Monasteries were founded in large numbers across the country. The license for this model is Attribution non commercial sharealike. I have included an STL file for 3d printing - select 'additional file' after clicking on the download button. For more information on the arrival of Christianity in Britain click this link https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Christianity_in_Britain ![](https://i.imgur.com/iEaFEgX.jpg) Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
