<p><strong>Model description: </strong><br> Digital outcrop model of Midterhuken, at the far end of the headland where Van Keulenfjorden and Van Mijenfjorden meet. It exhibits a natural transect of the Palaeogene fold-and-thrust belt along Spitsbergen’s west coast. The deformation involves two main geologic sequences. Basement rocks on Midterhuken’s western tip (Hecla Hoek sequence) were metamorphosed and penetratively deformed during the Caledonian orongeny, and were uplifted and tilted during Tertiary deformation. To the east is a Lower Carboniferous to Cretaceous plaatform cover sequence (2 km thick) of unmetamorphosed carbonate and clastic rocks; it unconformably overlies the Hecla Hoek rocks, and forms a northeast-dipping homocline with locally complex structures (Maher et al., 1984). The Gåshamna Fm, Treskelodden Fm, Orustdalen Fm, Wordiekammen Fm, Gipshuken Fm, Kapp Starostin Fm, Vardebukta Fm, Tvillingodden Fm, Bravaisberget Fm and Kapp Toscana Gr are successively exposed eastward.<br> <br> <strong>Data availability:</strong><br> All uploaded archives are to be extracted to the same directory for a functional working environment, i.e., at the very least consisting of a project folder with the data and metashape subdirectories. <b>Model description: </b><br>The Kampesteindalen Fault is a normal fault striking roughly NW-SE and dipping approximately 70 degrees to the SW (Smyrak-Sikora et al., 2019). <p><strong>Model description: </strong><br> Digital outcrop model of an igneous intrusion found by the western coast of Ekmanfjorden, beneath the mountain top Bertilryggen. The intrusion is emplaced at the transition from the late Permian Kapp Starostin Formation and the early Triassic Vardebukta Formation. The intrusions are part of the Diabasodden Suite, which represent the High Arctic Large Igneous Province on Svalbard. <b>Model description: </b><br>Digital outcrop model of the igneous intrusion covering the entire Stjerthøgda plateau. The intrusion has been emplaced into the top layers of the Gipshuken Formation, which can be recognized by its white gipsum rich sedimentary layers beneath the intrusion. <b>Model description: </b><br>Digital outcrop model of the 788 m high Meyerfjellet peak. It is located on the peninsula between Ekmanfjorden and Dicksonfjorden, and is wedged between Kapitolbreen and Meyerbreen. The peak is made up of a doleritic intrusion, not previously mapped. The intrusion belongs to the Diabasodden Suite, which represents the High Arctic Large Igneous Province on Svalbard. The intrusion is emplaced at the contact between the Gipshuken Formation and the Kapp Starostin Formation.
