FIGURE 1 in On the ornithological collection of Friedrich Sellow in Brazil (1814-1831), with some considerations about the provenance of his specimens
FIGURE 1. Approximate route of the travels of Friedrich Sellow between 1818 and 1820. Green represents original Atlantic rainforest coverage, and yellow the Cerrado biome. Greyish areas show elevations higher than 1.000 meters a.s.l.

FIGURE 3. Elevation and mean annual values for three bioclimatic variables along the Rio Doce Basin, southeastern Brazil. Elevation data are from a Digital Elevation Model (Global Multi-resolution Terrain Elevation Data 2010) developed by the United States Geological Survey and the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency downloaded at a 30 sec resolution (https://earthexplorer.usgs.gov). Mean annual precipitation, mean annual temperature and precipitation seasonality (expressed as the coefficient of variation of monthly precipitation) are for 1970–2000 and were downloaded from WorldClim, version 2 (http://worldclim. org) at a 30 sec resolution (Fick & Hijmans 2017).
