Pompeii - Public Water Fountain 43
This public water fountain was scanned as part of the 2022 Pompeii Water and Sanitation Project field school run by the University of Missouri. This is the most recently excavated fountain found in front of the so called Thermoplium of Regio V (V.3). Behind this fountain is a well cistern and a water tower. What's remarkable about this fountain is that the lead water pipe is still in place, and you can clearly see traces of pouring water down the sides. Pompeii - II.9.7 - Mosaic Fountains
This pair of mosaic fountains are to be found in the Casa del Triclinio Estivo (II.9.5-II.9.7). They were scanned as part of the 2022 Pompeii Water and Sanitation Project field school run by the University of Missouri. Both fountains are placed in front of an outdoor triclinium and, unusually, are fed by a pair of tanks above the fountain instead of the city aqueduct.
