Supplementary Datasets for the publication "Increased Susceptibility of Rousettus aegyptiacus Bats to Respiratory SARS-CoV-2 Challenge Despite Its Distinct Tropism for Gut Epithelia in Bats"
<p>Increasing evidence suggests bats are the ancestral hosts of the majority of coronaviruses. In gen-eral, coronaviruses primarily target the gastrointestinal system, while some strains, especially Be-tacoronaviruses with the most relevant representatives SARS-CoV, MERS-CoV, and SARS-CoV-2, also cause severe respiratory disease in humans and other mammals. We previously reported the susceptibility of Rousettus aegyptiacus (Egyptian fruit bats) to intranasal SARS-CoV-2 infection. Here, we compared their permissiveness to an oral infection versus respiratory challenge (in-tranasal or orotracheal) by assessing virus shedding, host immune responses, tissue-specific pa-thology, and physiological parameters. While respiratory challenge with a moderate infection dose of 1 × 104 TCID50 caused a systemic infection with oral and nasal shedding of replica-tion-competent virus, the oral challenge only induced nasal shedding of low levels of viral RNA. Even after a challenge with a higher infection dose of 1 × 106 TCID50, no replication-competent vi-rus was detectable in any of the samples of the orally challenged bats. We postulate that SARS-CoV-2 is inactivated by HCl and digested by pepsin in the stomach of R. aegyptiacus, thereby decreasing the efficiency of an oral infection. Therefore, fecal shedding of RNA seems to depend on systemic dissemination upon respiratory infection. These findings may influence our general understanding of the pathophysiology of coronavirus infections in bats.</p>
Opinions and Views of the Population of Ukraine: February 2024 (KIIS Omnibus 2024/02) – Data from a nationwide public opinion poll conducted by KIIS in February 2024
"Opinions and Views of the Population of Ukraine" is a regular omnibus survey, conducted by Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) among Ukraine's adult population and covering a wide range of topics. The data presented here is a subset of the survey conducted in February 2024 and include KIIS's own research questions. The questions cover the following topics: readiness for concessions for peace; perceptions of Russia, its people, and leadership; sources of information; perceptions of the war between Russia and Ukraine; views on Western support for Ukraine; factors contributing to Ukraine's success in the war; perceptions of recent investigations into large businesses and businessmen in Ukraine; state control over online information; state policy on the Russian language in Ukraine; the level of democracy in Ukraine; opportunities for personal success; and favorite national holidays. Data collection took place from February 17 to 28, 2024. Some of the survey questions were asked to all respondents (n=2,008), while others were directed to a sub-sample of 1,052 respondents. The data is available in an SAV format (Ukrainian, English) and a converted CSV format (with a codebook). The Data Documentation (pdf file) also includes a short overview and discussion of survey results as well as the relevant parts of the original questionnaire.
Data for paper publication "Modelling emission and transport of key components of primary marine organic aerosol using the global aerosol-climate model ECHAM6.3–HAM2.3"
<p>The dataset presented here is related to the article by Leon-Marcos et al. 2025: "Modelling emission and transport of key components of primary marine organic aerosol using the global aerosol-climate model ECHAM6.3–HAM2.3" accepted for publication in GMD. It comprises global fields of the FESOM2.1-REcoM3 biogeochemistry model tracers employed to calculate the ocean biomolecule concentration that serve as input data for the aerosol model. Additionally, the ECHAM6.3–HAM2.3 code of the marine aerosol implementation and the required scripts to run the model experiments are provided here. The aerosol-climate model simulation results of the marine aerosol emission, as well as the evaluation of the model results compared to observations, are also included. A comparative dataset on public perceptions of multiple risks during the COVID-19 pandemic in Italy and Sweden
<p>These datasets are the result of two nation-wide surveys conducted in Italy and Sweden in August 2020 and in november 2020. The surveys (which are identical in the two rounds) explore the respondents' risk perception, preparedness, knowledge, and experience regarding a set of hazards, namely: epidemics, floods, droughts, earthquakes, wildfires, terror attacks, domestic violence, economic crises, and climate change. </p> <p>The data files include the questionnaire survey (the Italian and Swedish versions as well as the English translation) and the two datasets of all the answers to the two surveys. Each column in the dataset refers to an item in the survey (e.g. a question or a sub-question), and each row represents a single respondent. </p> <p>For additional information on the August 2020 dataset, see <a href="https://www.nature.com/articles/s41597-020-00778-7">Mondino et al. Dataset for the publication "The TACS Model: Understanding Teachers' Adoption of Computer Science Pedagogical Content in Primary School"
<p>This dataset contains the quantitative teacher data used to analyse an in service teacher training program for Computer Science that took place from September 2019 to March 2020 in the Canton Vaud in Switzerland. Approximately 180 teachers from the the 5th and 6th grade in primary school (ages 9-11) participated in 3 days of training sessions. At the end of each training session, teachers were asked to fill in a web-based questionnaire providing information relating to their perception of the training sessions and adoption of the computer science activities. The surveys were analysed from three perspectives which are detailed in the corresponding article (the professional development program's perspective, the activities' perspective, the teacher's perspective). The present repository thus contains three csv files, one per analysis. <p>This dataset presents structured data extracted from the Spanish Procurement metadata dataset obtained through crawling the Spanish government’s <a href="https://contrataciondelestado.es/wps/portal/plataforma">“Plataforma de contratación del sector público”.</a> The dataset includes two main Parquet tables generated using scripts sourced from the GitHub repository <a href="https://github.com/nextprocurement/NP-Company-Process">NP-Company-Process</a>:</p> <ol> <li> <p><strong>Company Information Table (<code>company_info.parquet</code>):</strong> This table contains detailed records for each company identified in the Spanish Procurement metadata. The available metadata includes fields such as the Tax Identification Number (NIF), Full Name, Name, Province, NIF type, Company Type, Company Description, a list of associated Tender IDs, and an indicator for whether the company is classified as a PYME (small and medium-sized enterprise).</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Unión Temporal de Empresas (UTEs) Table (<code>utes.parquet</code>):</strong> Similar to the company information table, this table specifically focuses on UTEs. <p>Scholix links provide a standardized framework for establishing connections between research publications and their associated datasets or related data publications, thereby fostering improved discoverability, reusability, and reproducibility of research data.<br><br>This dataset aims to facilitate the evaluation of the degree of relatedness between literature publications and their associated linked data publications. The version for Swiss Psychology Open, did not include the Delphi survey results and the resulting intervention scenarios, but included a more detailed discussion of the review results.</p>

Monero: Public Keys of spent TXOs
<p>Monero's untraceability is based on the sampling of decoy inputs for each real transaction input. If a decoy input is a reference to an output which is known to be spent, it does not contribute to the size of the anonymity set of the real input. To prevent the sampling of spent outputs as decoys, the blackballing tool (released together with Monero v.0.12) can be used.</p> <p>This data set provides a list of public keys which should be avoided as mixins. It consists of the following three files:</p> <ol> <li>Monero TX outputs which are known to be spent (spent_outputs.csv)</li> <li>Monero TX outputs which are at risk of being identified as spent, due to occuring in a ring with only 2 or 3 possible inputs (risky_outputs.csv)</li> <li>Monero TX outputs which may have been spent on either the MoneroV or the Monero Original blockchain and are therefore at a higher risk to be identified.
