Wmid-56125c - Post Medieval pipe tamper/stopper

An incomplete copper-alloy pipe tamper of the post-medieval period, dating to AD 1700 - AD 1800. Less than 50% of the pipe tamper or stopper is present, consisting of the upper torsos of both individuals. A patinated break is present at the waist of the two figures. The tamper depicts an erotic scene. The scene would have originally consisted of a standing couple, probably engaged in sexual intercourse. The two figures are positioned facing each other. The Male (larger) figure is standing upright, with his arms around the waist of the Female (slightly smaller) figure. The female has her legs bent and is leaning into the male figure, she appears to be partially seated, her arms are equally around the waist of the Male. The Male's arms are cast over the top of the Female's. Wmid-3a5abf - Early Medieval strap end

An incomplete copper alloy strap end of Late Early Medieval dating (1000 AD to 1100 AD). Around 50% of the strap end is present, consisting of the top half with the attachment rivets. The strap end was originally tongue shaped. The upper (attachment) end is recessed on the front for a missing separate plate. Two circular attachment rivets are present at the top of the strap end. They have a diameter of 2.5 mm. The main body is probably decorated with a central anthropomorphic figure cast in high relief, with openwork details. Only the top part of the figure is present, with double U curves probably representing the head or hair, with a circular hole to either side. These holes have an internal diameter of 3.9 mm. The reverse is flat. For more information, please visit the online database record available at: https://finds.org.uk/database/artefacts/record/id/1065562 Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab

Enhanced medieval stonework, Tywardreath Priory

This collection of medieval stonework is from the Benedictine priory of Tywardreath. The exact location and layout of the Priory remains unknown, but stones were reused throughout the village. Here, the stonework next to the church has been scanned and presented as an enhanced model, removing textures and showing the detail of the surfaces. Decorations, dressing marks and the natural pitted surface of some stones can be clearly seen. See the original textured model here: https://sketchfab.com/models/66ed096773a9478481b94ec47e62f7dd Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab

Cave and Medieval town of Los Casares (Spain)

The Cave and Islamic town of Los Casares are located 3 kilometers north of the small town of Riba de Saelices (Guadalajara, Castilla-La Mancha). It is a zone of great natural beauty, crossed by the Linares river, and as a gateway to several valleys. The town sits on a hillside that is crowned at the top by a defensive tower built by Muslims around the 10th century AD. This tower allowed the control of the territory, especially the entrance and exit to the valleys located further north. The tower rises above the entrance to a cave that preserves an important set of Paleolithic paintings and engravings. Inside the cave it has been possible to find archaeological remains from different periods. The oldest belong to Neanderthals. 3D models made using FARO Focus 3D scan data and drone-based photogrammetry in Reality Capture software. Additional processing was completed in Geomagic Wrap, InstantMeshes, Meshlab, and Blender. Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
