Estimated seismicity of Venusian wrinkle ridges based on fault scaling relationships
<p>These files contain all lengths of wrinkle ridges from Bilotti & Suppe (1999), and the code I used to calculate scalar moment release from these faults. We apply segmentation and apply a maximum vertical slip extent. We calculate a moment release rate, or annual moment release, by summing the scalar moments and dividing by a deformation time. The fault lengths are in the last (3rd) column of the Excel file (wrinkleridges_midXY_frank.xlsx) in meters.</p> <p>Please see this reference for more information:<br> Sabbeth, L., Smrekar, S.E., and Stock, J.M. <p>This repository contains supplementary passive seismic datasets to Cooper et al. (2020, Nature). This description serves as the README file for this repository and each component of this dataset is described below.</p> <p><strong>1. station_metadata.tar.gz</strong></p> <p> This compressed tar.gz file contains directories for each seismic network comprising a single STATIONXML file with the metadata for all stations in that network. The stationxml files can be read using ObsPy's <a href="https://docs.obspy.org/packages/autogen/obspy.core.inventory.inventory.read_inventory.html">read_inventory</a> module.</p> <p>This file can be uncompressed using the following command: </p> <pre><code class="language-bash">tar -xvzf station_metadata.tar.gz</code></pre> <p> </p> <p><strong>2. local_earthquake_catalog_2016-2017_BieEtAl.xml</strong><br> Raw local earthquake catalogue containing magnitudes and hypocentre locations from <a href="https://doi.org/10.1785/0220190147">Bie et al.
