Skeletonema species Suspect List
<p>This is a Suspect List of Metabolites extracted from literature and several open-source Compound, Spectral and Reactions Databases. The Suspect list belongs to two species from the genus <em>Skeletonema</em>, namely <em>Skeletonema costatum</em> and <em>Skeletoname marinoi. </em>A sunburst plot for classification is given as "suspectlist_sunburst.html"</p>
Bird species list for the Andrews Experimental Forest and Upper McKenzie River Basin, 1975 to 1995
This list quantifies bird species and indicates general abundance and habitat. The list covers the entire upper McKenzie River watershed with special reference to occurrence within the Andrews Forest. It represents the collective observations of many people over 20-plus years, but should not be viewed as either current or complete.
Moss species list of the Andrews Experimental Forest, 1991
Understanding patterns of distribution and abundance for individual moss species is necessary for understanding ecosystem structure and function and for ensuring proper management. To augment understanding of the ecology of individual species, mosses were examined on the forest floor, on the upper surface of downed logs, and on tree bases in forest stands in the central western Cascades of Oregon on and near the H.J. Andrews Experimental Forest. This study quantifies local distribution patterns and substrate affinities to a greater extent than previous studies in the same geographic area (e.g., Pike et al. 1975, Hawk et al. 1978, Binkley and Graham 1981).
Epiphyte species list of Watershed 10, Andrews Experimental Forest, 1970 to 1972
Using direct-aid climbing techniques for sampling trunks and branch systems, we found 74 species of lichens and 32 species of bryophytes growing as epiphytes in a 450-year-old Douglas-fir forest in western Oregon. This data is based on sampling designed to provide estimates of epiphyte biomass per hectare of forest to be used in ecosystem modeling.
Macroinvertebrate species list of the Andrews Experimental Forest, 1992
Total taxa richness, proportion of Ephemeroptera, Plecoptera, and Trichoptera, Shannon diversity, alpha diversity, proportion represented by the most dominant taxon, and total abundance of individuals where macroinvertebrate assemblage measures used to evaluate the effects of sampling replication and distribution in two sites (lookout and Mack Creeks) in the HJ Andrews Experimental Forest. These collections were part of a larger study that sampled 16 western Oregon streams.
Baltimore Ecosystem Study: Riparian vegetation data - 11 of 11 - species lists
This is one of 11 datasets generated in a study of riparian vegetation in the Baltimore Ecosystem Study from 1999-2004. Comparisons of vegetation between the rural/suburban (upper) and urban (lower) sections of the watershed show distinct patterns across an urban to rural gradient. In the lower, more urban section of the watershed, wetland tree species are either absent or occur as small stems while upland species are abundant, in mixed sizes. A comparison of the number of wetland and upland species in the mostly urbanized Gwynns Falls riparian zone with non-urbanized Piedmont floodplains throughout Maryland shows approximately twice as many upland species in the urban floodplain than in non-urbanized floodplains. The majority of shrubs in riparian zones through the Gwynns Falls are upland species. For herbaceous species, frequencies of upland and wetland species are about equal in the upper and middle regions of the watershed, but upland species are more common in the more urban lower floodplains by a factor of greater than two.
Species list for Bonanza Creek Experimental Forest
The Species list for Bonanza Creek Experimental Forest includes a listing of all species documented at the Bonanza Creek Experimental Forest in Fairbanks, Alaska, USA. Vascular and non-vascular plant species lists were compiled by long-term vegetation monitoring and vascular and non-vascular plant collections. Plant identifications were made according to Viereck and Little and Eric Hulten. Animal species lists were compiled by physical (sitings, track, and scat) observations and published documents and reports.
Alaskan Peatland Experiment: Community structure and productivity data for 2007-2010 I - Species List
This dataset lists all vascular plants present at the Alaska Peatland Experiment identified as of fall 2010. Non vascular plant growth forms are also included, as well as the relative location for each species or growth form. Data can be sorted by species, growth form or location. Two peatland types are represented; a bog and a fen . Within the fen site a water table manipulation has been ongiong since 2005, with control, lowered and raised water table treatment plots. At the bog there is a plot established within the lowland black spruce permafrost plateau, and two plots established within collapse scars embedded within the plateau. One collapse scar formed ~ 45 years ago (old collapse) and the other formed ~ 25 years ago based upon aerial photography provided by the BCEF LTER.
