Apulian Aqueduct demo site: daily time series of simulated system behavior for future inflows conditions (RCP8.5)
<p>This dataset contains the daily time series obtained from the strategic model simulation, considering net estimated inflows (natural springs and main reservoirs of Apulian aqueduct - demo site 1) considering climate projection RCP 8.5 and two decades, in the medium (2050-2059) and long-term future (2090-2099). In all simulations, a modified version of the drinking water demand is considered, following a different distribution of the populations, an increase in density in coastal areas also due to investments in the tourism sector, to the detriment of density in inland areas.</p> <p>In two simulations the current drinking water demand is considered, with or without the environmental flow constraint acting on each reservoir release activated.</p> <p>In the remaining simulations, a modified version of the drinking water demand is considered, following a different distribution of the populations, an increase in density in coastal areas also due to investments in the tourism sector, to the detriment of density in inland areas.</p> <p>For each decade, two simulations are performed, with or without the rehabilitation of some well-fields making the water withdrawn drinkable with innovative purification techniques.</p> <p>. More precisely, the dataset contains:</p> <ul> <li>the daily level of the main reservoirs;</li> <li>the water supplied to all users (drinking water users, irrigation, and industrial districts) from each reservoir;</li> <li>the corresponding single irrigation and industrial deficit;</li> <li>the total drinking water deficit;</li> <li>the aggregated distribution cost.</li> </ul> <p>Two simulations are performed, with or without the environmental flow constraint acting on each reservoir release activated.</p> <ul> <li>Temporal coverage: 2050-2059; 2090-2099</li> <li>Spatial coverage: <ul> <li>Springs: Sele, Calore;</li> <li>Reservoirs: Conza, Locone, Monte Cotugno, Occhito, Pertusillo;</li> <li>Users: drinking water users, irrigation, and industrial districts supplied by Apulian aqueduct.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Unit of measure: <em>m</em>, <em>m3/s</em> depending on the variable</li> </ul> <p>More information and details on the content of this dataset can be found in Project Ô <a href="https://zenodo.org/record/7576611">Deliverable D4.4</a>.</p>

MASTER: Western Diversity Time Series Campaign, WDTS, Spring 2023
This dataset includes Level 1B (L1B) and Level 2 (L2) data products from the MODIS/ASTER Airborne Simulator (MASTER) instrument. The spectral data were collected as part of the Western Diversity Time Series (WDTS, formerly HyspIRI) airborne campaign during 12 flights aboard a NASA ER-2 aircraft over California and Nevada, U.S., from 2023-03-31 to 2023-05-02. The WDTS campaign will observe California's ecosystems and provide critical information on natural disasters such as volcanoes, wildfires, and drought. MASTER products can identify vegetation type and health and provide a benchmark for the state of the ecosystems against which future changes can be assessed. Data products include L1B georeferenced multispectral imagery of calibrated radiance in 50 bands covering wavelengths of 0.460 to 12.879 micrometers at approximately 50-meter spatial resolution. Derived L2 data products are emissivity in five bands in thermal infrared range (8.58 to 12.13 micrometers) and land surface temperature. The L1B file format is HDF-4, and L2 products are provided in ENVI and KMZ formats. In addition, the dataset includes the flight path, spectral band information, instrument configuration, ancillary notes, and summary information for each flight, and browse images derived from each L1B data file.
LBA-ECO ND-01 Landsat 28.5-m Land Cover Time Series, Rondonia, Brazil: 1984-2010
This data set provides a 27-year land cover time series of 28.5-m resolution products derived from Landsat images for 80% of Rondonia, Brazil, for the period 1984 to 2010. Selected Landsat Thematic Mapper (TM) and Landsat Multispectral Scanner (MSS) images from the years 1984 through 2010, for seven path/row scenes (PortoVelho, Ariquemes, Jiparana, Luiza (or Urupa), Cacoal, Chapuingaia, and Vilhena) were mosaicked for each year. Each mosaicked image was georectified and classified into seven land-cover classes--savanna/rock, pasture, secondary forest, primary forest, cloud, urban, or water. This 27-year time series allows the long-term assessment of land-cover variation across the state. There are 27 GeoTIFF image files (.tif) and one accompanying .xml file for each GeoTIFF file, compressed and available as *.zip files, one file for each year for the period 1984-2010, with this data set.
Tellus Level-4 Ocean Mass Anomaly Time Series from JPL GRACE/GRACE-FO Mascon CRI Filtered Release 06.3 version 04
This dataset is a time series of mass variability averaged over all of the global ocean. It provides the non-steric or mass only sea level changes over time. The mass variability are derived from JPL GRACE Mascon Ocean, Ice, and Hydrology Equivalent Water Height CRI Filtered RL06.1Mv04 dataset, which can be found at https://doi.org/10.5067/TEMSC-3JC634. A more detailed description on the Mascon solution, including the mathematical derivation, implementation of geophysical constraints, and solution validation, please see Watkins et al., 2015, doi: 10.1002/2014JB011547. The mass variability is provided as an ASCII table.
Daily Lake Ice Phenology Time Series Derived from AMSR-E and AMSR2, Version 1
The Daily Lake Ice Phenology Time Series Derived from AMSR-E and AMSR2 provides 5 km ice phenology retrievals describing daily lake ice conditions (ice-on/ice-off) over the Northern Hemisphere. This satellite-based data set allows for rapid assessment and regional monitoring of seasonal ice coverage over large lakes with resulting accuracy suitable for global change studies. Data are provided in the 5 km Northern Hemisphere Equal-Area Scalable Earth Grid 2.0 (EASE-Grid 2.0).
Pre SWOT Hydrology Global Lake/Reservoir Storage Time Series V2
The Global Lake/Reservoir Storage Time Series is derived from the Surface Water Height Time Series and Surface Water Extent Mask Time Series products. The purpose of this dataset is to provide surface water storage estimates for several hundred lakes and reservoirs across the globe. These time series potentially span a 25 year time period, from late 1992 to 2017, satisfying the project goal of ESDR creation with a suitable level of quality that supports long-term trend analysis and global water dynamics models. This product is readily accessible and is of direct use to both water managers and the scientific community worldwide, and allows for improved assessment and modeling of the human impact on the global water cycle. These pre SWOT data are derived from satellites to provide hydrological measurements. The Surface Water and Ocean Topography (SWOT) mission will have hydrology as one of its objectives. This dataset does not have the same variables as SWOT, but does provide hydrological measurements with typical quality flagging typical of satellite data. Not only does it provide science information, it can also assist hydrological users new to satellite data with the satellite data formats and variables before SWOT launches.
