<p>This is a repository of the Supplementary Movies from the paper "Dynamics of dominance: maneuvers, contests, and assessment in the posture-scale movements of interacting zebrafish".</p><h3>SM1</h3><p><br>This movie is a visualization of the tracking pipeline output, namely the 3D bodypoint positions of the two zebrafish over time. In this animation, we show the 3D locations of the head (circle), pec (square) and tail (cross) bodypoints of the winner (red) and loser (blue) throughout an entire experiment, the same experiment shown in Fig3(A) of the paper. The movie is downsampled from the 100fps recordings to 25fps to reduce file size. (1hr 23min 29sec)</p><h3>Notes on SM2-6</h3><p>In these movies we show two panels. The left panel shows an animation of the contestant 3D bodypoint positions. The right panel shows the XZ camera view of the tank with the XZ image coordinates of bodypoints drawn over the fish. The movies run at 100fps and are all 2 minutes long. Ryan. &nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Supplemental Movie S1: <strong>WT Chromosome Trajectories during Prophase I. </strong>The first file "movie_WT..." contains the file for the results of simulations for the wild-type chromosomes and the exact parameter values can be found in Table 1 of the manuscript. The movie shows one realization of the agent-based model. The simulation movie covers the homology search process from <em>t = 3h </em>to <em>t = 9h</em>. Matching colors correspond to homologous pairs. True chromosome lengths are incorporated and scale the relevant interaction radii. The radius represents the attractive and non-homologous repulsive region.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Supplemental Movie S2:&nbsp;<strong>WT Chromosome Trajectories during Prophase I with active dumbbell model. </strong>&nbsp;The second file "movie<em>WT</em>_activedumbbell..." contains the file for the results of the simulations for the modeling of chromosomes as active dumbbells (from polymers) to allow for the study of the effects of elongation, orientation, and flexibility. The movie shows one realization of the agent-based active dumbbell model which is closer to modeling a chromosome as a polymer. The simulation movie covers the homology search process from <em>t = 3h </em>to <em>t = 9h</em>. Matching colors correspond to homologous pairs. True chromosome lengths are incorporated and scale the relevant interaction radii, but are allowed to change in time as the two beads expand and contract. The radius represents the attractive and non-homologous repulsive region.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Supplemental Movie S3: <strong><em>spo11</em> hypomorph (30% WT DSB levels) Chromosome Trajectories during Prophase I (parameters from Fig 7B)</strong>. The third file "movie_spo11..." contains the file for the results of the simulations for the spo-11 hypomorph and the associated parameter values can be found in Table 1 of the manuscript. &nbsp;The movie depicts one realization of the agent-based model for the {\it spo11} hypomorphic mutant. The simulation movie covers the homology search process from <em>t = 3h</em> to <em>t = 9h</em> where mutant <em>spo11</em> is associated with a weaker attractive and repulsive force (e.g., reduction to 77% of WT values). True chromosome lengths are incorporated and scale the relevant interaction radii. Matching colors correspond to homologous pairs. The radii represent the homologous attractive and the non-homologous repulsive region. Polarisation camera movie of single SYTOX Orange molecules on a cover glass

<p>This image dataset is a movie of the fluorescence of single SYTOX Orange molecules (S34861, Invitrogen) dispersed on a cover glass. The data was collected on a fluorescence microscope (Ti-U, Nikon) with a polarisation camera (CS505MUP, Thorlabs). The molecules were excited with a 532 nm diode laser with a measured power density at the sample plane of 0.36 kW/cm^2. An exposure time of 100 ms was used. The following filters were used: dichroic (Di03-R532-t1, Semrock) and emission filter (FF01-582/64, Semrock).</p>

Movies associated with "Direct N-body simulations of satellite formation around small asteroids: insights from DART's encounter with the Didymos system"

<pre>All movies are titled based on the figure in the paper they correspond to and the ID number of the simulation. All movies, except for movie_fig1_fig2_spinup.mp4 are rendered in a rotating, primary-centered frame with a period of 10 hours. This is done to make it easier to watch the satellite accumulate. movie_fig1_fig2_spinup.mp4 is rendered in an inertial frame. The movies are quite long, so we recommend fast-forwarding some of the boring parts :)</pre>

Polarisation camera movies of T cells on a cover glass

<p>The plasma membrane of live T cells (J8 LFA-1) was labelled using the Nile red-derivative NR4A, and 3D movies were recorded using a polarisation camera. Two unprocessed datasets are included here:</p> <ul> <li><strong>Tcell_NR4A_EPI_stack</strong>: A 3D stack of a single T cell, imaged with the excitation in EPI configuration.</li> <li><strong>Tcell_NR4A_HILO_stack_movie</strong>: A 3D movie of live T cells interacting with an OKT3 antibody-coated cover glass, imaged with the excitation in HILO configuration.</li> </ul> <p>For each .tif file, the corresponding Micro-Manager metadata file is included.</p> <p><strong>Optical setup:</strong></p> <p>Imaging was performed on a widefield microscope equipped with a polarisation camera (CS505MUP, Thorlabs). The sample was excited using a 515 nm laser, coupled into a square-core multi-mode fiber (M97L02, Thorlabs) with a custom vibration-motor-based mode scrambler. The measured power density at the image plane was on the order of 0.004 kW/cm^2. A dichroic (Di03-R514-t1, Semrock) was used to seperate fluorescence from the excitation. The emission was filtered using a long-pass filter (FF01-515/LP, Semrock) and bandpass filter (FF01-650/200, Semrock) before detection.</p> <p><strong>Sample preparation:</strong></p> <p>J8 LFA-1 cells were incubated overnight (~18 h) in complete-RPMI (StableCell RPMI-1640 media (Sigma) supplemented with 10 % (v/v) fetal calf serum (FCS), 1 % (v/v) HEPES buffer, and 1 % (v/v) pen/strep antibiotics. 1 mL of cells were collected by centrifugation and resuspended in phenol-red free RPMI supplemented with 1 % HEPES.</p> <p>Round coverslips were rinsed with IPA, MilliQ, dried, and Ar-plasma cleaned for 20 minutes. Grace Bio-Labs CultureWells were attached, and the slide was incubated with OKT3 antibody (provided by the Human Immunology Unit, WIMM, Oxford) for 30 minutes. The slide was washed 5 times with phenol-red free RPMI supplemented with 1 % HEPES and a final wash with phenol-red free RPMI supplemented with 1 % HEPES and 200 nM NR4A before imaging.</p>
