You Wine Vessel, 12th-11th Century BCE, now in the collection of the Minneapolis Institute of Art. From [artsmia.org](www.artsmia.org): *You vessels like these began to appear during the late 1100s BCE and became prevalent during the late Shang and early Western Zhou (c. 1300–977 BCE). In line with late Shang tastes, the vessel is richly decorated within seven horizontal registers. These registers are further divided into four panels by heavy scored flanges with tooth-like projections. One noticeable change in decoration is that the bird motif has replaced the ubiquitous taotie animal mask as the dominant decoration. Clachtoll Vessel C
Two possible reconstructions of a decorated storage jar from Clachtoll broch, Assynt. The ceramic fragments were recovered from floor layers within the broch that have been dated through modelled radiocarbon determinations to the last half of the first century BC. Over 100 individual pottery sherds were recovered from the broch. They were then analysed by artefacts specialists and separated into individual vessels, with 'Vessel C' being the most complete from the entire assemblage. The models here show two possible configurations for the fully reconstructed large vessel based on the analysis of the shape of the sherds recovered. Photogrammetry 3D model of a Chinese Bronze "Ding" It is a model of a small copy that I found on a tourist market in Bejing Ding were prehistoric and ancient Chinese cauldrons, standing upon legs with a lid and two facing handles. They are one of the most important shapes used in Chinese ritual bronzes. They were made in two shapes: round vessels with three legs and rectangular ones with four, the latter often called fanding. Chronology: Early (600-400 BC) to Late Phase (400-100 BC) Red-on-buff pottery was the most common painted ware in Chupícuaro Culture, with forms ranging from ollas, open and rimmed bowls, oval shapes and tecomates, to spider-leg tripods, pedestal bases and effigy vessels (Porter 1956:570). The main body is a standard gui with a deep bowl, while the looped handles on either side of the body are innovatively rendered in the form of an elephant's head and trunk. The bow displays the wings of a bird in relief, and the projection at the bottom contains the bird's curled tail and its feet descending almost to rest on the tail.
