The asterisk in the coast of the State of Pará highlights the position of the mouth of the Amazon River; it is the southern limit of the Caribbean province. The Brazilian province is located between the south of the Amazon River to Santa Catarina State, and includes Atol das Rocas, Fernando de Noronha Archipelago, São Pedro and São Paulo Archipelago, and Trindade and Martim Vaz Islands. The State of Santa Catarina is the northern limit of the Argentine province.
