Detail Capture Test 2
Like the previous detail test I wanted to identify the limitation that Polycam could have to field work. I wasn't able to access the top down view in the the previous attempt therefore this Sculpture presented an opportunity to capture the entire subject area without Impediment. Lamp Post Detail British Museum Remix
This is a 3d model designed for the Cultural Heritage Remix Challenge. The original 3d model was uploaded for the user Thomas Flynn, which is highly knowed in the community. The original model is named Lamp Post Detail, British Museum", which i think is very descriptive. The remix is based on the idea of use the original source for create something magic, when i drew the first concepts: a door, a pilar, a crystal was quickly appearing in the paper, so i modeled them in blender, remixing the original textures to colour the new parts and using cycles to recreate the original textures with new illumination. i used the original source as base of the pilar and another part to create the top, the rest of the model (the main post with the metal vines or the art-noveau metal of the door) is original work. I really enjoyed this challenge.
