(stars) and L. guilleti newly recorded individuals (circles) from the Balearic Islands were collected. The holotype and the paratype of L. patzneri sp. nov. were collected from the sampling station in the Menorca Channel and off southeast Mallorca, respectively. The holotype, paratype and the two unpreserved specimens off south Menorca were collected at 72, 60 and 67 m, respectively. The 50, 100, 500 and 800 m isobaths are shown. Map drawn by F. Ordinas.
