Both plots were generated based on videos of beetles kept in captivity: Tuberocnodes synhimboides (Supp Movie S1 [online only]) and Toktokkus vialis (Kamiński et al. 2021a). Sex of the beetles in both cases remain unknown. Contrary to To. vialis, the recorded individual of T. synhimboides is producing sound in a series of four to five hits.
