Atmospheric aerosol, gases and meteorological parameters measured during the LAPSE-RATE campaign - Finnish Meteorological Institute data sets
<p>This publication summarizes the measurements and data sets generated by Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI) during the LAPSE-RATE that took place in the San Luis Valley of Colorado during the summer of 2018. These data sets offer observations of atmospheric aerosols and gases at the surface and in vertical column acquired by FMI rotary-wing Unmanned Aerial System and FMI ground module. </p>
Evaluation of cadmium phytoextraction potential of plants - Research articles and investigation leaders (researchers, institutes and countries)
<p>The objective of the data is to reduce the search time of those researchers interested in identifying scientific articles related to the evaluation of cadmium phytoextraction potential of plant species in order to use them for the restoration of contaminated soils. This database does not include items: 1- Whose main objective is to evaluate the effect of chemical additives on the cadmium phytoextraction potential of a plant. 2- Whose main objective is to evaluate the effect of edaphic or foliar microorganisms on the cadmium phytoextraction potential of a plant. 3- Whose main objective is to evaluate a physical intervention on the cadmium phytoextraction potential of a plant. 4- Whose plant under study is a plant species of wide nutritional use in the human diet.</p>

Considering institutional type: a varieties of capitalism approach to the economic growth resource curse
<p>Defined by North (1994) as the "rules of the game", over the last few decades, many scholars have sought to understand whether quality institutions can alleviate the Resource Curse (the idea that natural resource abundance hinders rather than promotes economic growth). However, with this focus on quality, few papers have addressed the question of institutional type, and its Curse mitigating properties. This paper, via utilising the associated data, contributes towards filling this gap. Using the Varieties of Capitalism framework, we test whether certain institutional typologies possess the ability to mitigate the Resource Curse and perhaps even turn it into a blessing. Specifically, Rougier and Combarnous' cluster analysis, "The Diversity of Emerging Capitalisms in Developing Countries" (2017), whereby nations are assigned various institutional typologies is used to create our primary (dummy) independent variables of interest in this study. The remaining control variables essential for economic growth analysis are collected via the World Bank and Polity datasets.</p>
Students' satisfaction with service quality in higher education institutions: the perspective of students' expectations and perceptions in Tanzania
<p>The main study from which these datasets were extracted was conducted through pragmatic approach, where quantitative and qualitative data were collected. A cross-sectional survey design was employed to collect data from one selected Higher Education Institution in Tanzania. Questionnaires with seven Likert-like scales were used to collect data on students’ ratings on expectations, perceptions and satisfaction on service quality in Higher Education and intentions to re-enroll to the same Higher Education. The first year and finalist students were selected through cluster sampling of students pursuing different degree programs. The intent of the study was to examine the perceived differences of students’ expectations, perceptions and satisfaction based on differences of demographic characteristics. The collected data were initially analyzed by conducting Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) to identify dimensions that determine service quality in Higher Education. In addition, Multi Linear Regression Analyses were conducted to examine the linear relation between quantitative (continuous) response variable and one or more independent variables. This was performed to study the relationship between several independent variables and each of the <strong>factors produced from factor analysis</strong>. Demographic characteristics such as mode of parenting, education level, and economic status, and schooling background, year of study and degree programme (specialization) were used as independent (continuous) variables while the two factors produced in CFA were used as dependent variables. Final data for interpretation were transformed into Tables with parameter estimates and standard errors of linear regression model for expectations, perceptions, satisfaction and intentions.</p>
