Prodigal Son Sculpture Photogrammetry Scan

This marble statue, called "Prodigal Son," was made by American sculptor George Grey Barnard in 1904-1906. It was later donated to Louisville, KY's Speed Art Museum, where it resides today. Although the statue has full 360-degree access, it is between 20-25 feet tall, so this 3-D model is a partial photogrammetry scan of the statue, as a full scan would require bringing a ladder to the museum. Because of this, the top of the model is incomplete. A more comprehensive scan of the artifact would result in a complete 3-D model without holes. Institutions looking to digitize their collections should consider photogrammetry services, a safe, non-invasive, and cost-effective way to digitize historic artifacts. Good luck Ishinomaki signboard(photogrammetry)

On April 11, 2011, exactly one month after the day of the Great East Japan Earthquake, a large signboard was created and installed with the hope of encouraging the local people not to be defeated by the tsunami. Ever since then, it has become a symbol of reconstruction and a place visited by many people from inside and outside of the prefecture. https://www.umimachi-sanpo.com/spot100/026-2/ 📍 [石巻南浜津波復興祈念公園, 石巻市, 宮城県](https://scaniver.se/L38.41881,141.30174) Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab

Chocolate Tray Photogrammetry and RTI Model

I utilized Agisoft Photoscan to create the mesh many days ago. Today I used RTI by way of a custom dome apparatus and CHI's programs to create a normal map of the surface of the same object and manipulated it in photoshop to match the UV as closely as possible. Scans were done by AISOS, a part of LATIS Labs in the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab

Townscaper photogrammetry test 1

Playing with the AMAZING Townscaper game/toy (see https://store.steampowered.com/app/1291340/Townscaper/) by @OskSta. A few folks had the bright idea to create 3D by photogrammetry. (thanks @FraserLeeee and others) Soooo the process is: rotate the townscaper model as if you are flying around model 360 degrees for several levels. Record screen while rotating. Take video and get frames via ffmpeg. Put those frames (filtered down by hand a bit to avoid bad video sections) into Metashape. Run through the default workflow of Metashape and boom (several hours later) and get a 3D model. Painful but kinda amusing also. More eventually ;-) Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab

Old Windmill [free, photogrammetry]

It's a 3d reconstruction I did for fun while visiting Kolbuszowa heritage museum. The model has many flaws - especially behind the arms and on the backside, also photos were made in sub-optimal conditions (full noon). But - as a secondary model for background in a landscape scene? Should be perfect. It's just an fun side-project, so I'm sharing this for free with you guys :) Hope you can use it to create something really nice :) Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
