<p>This dataset contributed to deliverable 4.2 Regional Mapping Report and shows the&nbsp;mapping in Bosnia and Herzegovina.&nbsp;This report is the second deliverable of WP4 &ndash; Measuring and assessing impacts and costs of a just green transition in the WB, of the GreenFORCE project. It was jointly authored by the WB project partners, as well as 2 subcontracted parties from the region.</p> <p>The EU Economic and Investment Plan for the WB includes a green agenda for the WB, with pillars to be pursued for transitioning towards a carbon-neutral economy. Such a shift will surely challenge the economies and societies in the WB. The social and policy context is yet fragile to allow for the development and mass distribution of green transition technologies, while human resources are not prepared and/or are insufficient to produce and implement innovation. Yet, the green transition also paves the way towards new development and resilience opportunities. The research will inform on the readiness/potential of societal actors (industry, academia, policymakers, civic society) to embrace the pathways to transformation, and will propose a framework for continuous monitoring of impacts and costs. The key findings and lessons learnt derived within WP4 will be transferred into the scientific papers and policy briefs (WP 2 &amp; 3) and published under the dissemination events (WP5).</p> <p>Regional mapping is a key task for the research, contributing to initial data gathering and the refinement of the research proposal, and to the sub-question on the identification of sectors and territories affected by the transitions and current progress of transition practices. This is a participatory mapping, engaging local stakeholders and communities to reveal local knowledge. Each WB partner will produce the respective country report, and Co-PLAN will work on the final regional report.</p> <p>This deliverable is the final regional report. Data and code for "Phase transitions in inorganic halide perovskites from machine learning potentials: The impact of size, rate, and the underlying exchange-correlation functional"

<p>This record contains databases with data from density functional theory calculations used for training a series of neuroevolution potentials (NEPs), which are also included here. Information is also included for how to access the databases and run the NEP models.</p> <p><strong>Databases</strong><br> The <code>*.db</code> files are databases with the results from density functional theory (DFT) calculations. These are sqlite databases in ase format, see <a href="https://wiki.fysik.dtu.dk/ase/tutorials/tut06_database/database.html">here</a> for more information. The <code>demo-database-access.py</code> script illustrates the most basic access.</p> <p><strong>Models</strong><br> The neuroevolution potential (NEP) models described in the publication can be found in the <code>nep-*.txt</code> files. They can be used in conjunction with the <a href="https://gpumd.org">GPUMD package</a>. The <a href="https://calorine.materialsmodeling.org">calorine package</a> provides a Python interface to GPUMD.</p> <p><strong>Primitive structures</strong><br> Several primitive structures in extended xyz format can be found in the <code>*.xyz</code> files. These structures have been relaxed using the NEP models included here. The <code>demo-for-using-structures-and-models.py</code> script illustrates how to access the structures and models.</p>

Transitions in flooding intensity on an experimental delta

<p>Information about past environments is stored in sedimentary rocks via biogeochemical markers stored in the sediments. Using these markers, the signal of paleoclimate and other environmental factors can be reconstructed from the strata. However, because sediment accumulation occurs stochastically, the stratigraphic record is often difficult to reconstruct with confidence. It is generally thought that with a sufficient sample size though, noise averages out, and the true signal can be reconstructed. This assumption is valid when the statistics of erosion and deposition remain steady throughout the interval of interest. In fact, it is known that changes in climate can alter the statistics of erosion and deposition, but the impact of this effect on paleoclimate reconstructions remains poorly understood.&nbsp;</p> <p>This dataset describes a set of physical delta experiments conducted at the Tulane University Sediment Dynamics and Stratigraphy Laboratory. Throughout the experiment, the level of flooding intensity that the delta was exposed to alternated between two end-member values, with transitions of varying durations. We monitored channel dynamics, and reconstructed synthetic climate records from the strata to see how the changing statistics of sediment accumulation impacted the preservation of environmental signals in the strata.&nbsp;</p> <p>This dataset is an HDF5 dataset, which is a general format. The data largely consist of a set of 3D arrays that contain 2D topography and imagery data, where the third dimension is time. Each data object is paired with a 1D vector that links datasets across the time dimension, since data were collected at different intervals. The appropriate linking datasets are also included as CSVs.</p>

Supplementary information: How robust is the ligand binding transition state?

<p>We have used the REVO weighted ensemble approach followed by Markov state models to identify the ligand unbinding transition states for five ligands unbinding from the enzyme soluble epoxide hydrolase (sEH). This repo provides the <em><strong>counts matrices, properties and state (cluster) labels</strong></em> of the markov state models. The counts matrices can be converted to conformation space networks using CSNAnalysis software (<a href="https://github.com/ADicksonLab/CSNAnalysis">https://github.com/ADicksonLab/CSNAnalysis</a>). The <em><strong>networks</strong></em> are also provided in the gexf formatted files to be visualized in gephi (<a href="https://github.com/gephi/gephi">https://github.com/gephi/gephi</a>).</p>

The effect of normal stress oscillations on fault slip behavior near the stability transition from stable to unstable motion

<p>Tectonic fault zones are subject to normal stress variations with a wide range of spatio-temporal scales. Stress perturbations cover a wide range of frequencies and amplitudes from high frequency seismic waves generated by earthquakes to low frequency transients associated with solid Earth tides. These perturbations can reactivate critically stressed faults and trigger earthquakes. Here, we describe lab experiments to illuminate the physics of such changes in friction and the mechanics of earthquake triggering and fault reactivation. Friction tests were done in a double direct shear configuration for conditions near the stability transition from stable to unstable motion. We studied simulated fault gouge composed of quartz powder and conducted experiments at reference normal stress from 10 to 13.5 MPa. After shearing to steady state sliding, we applied sinusoidal normal stress oscillations of amplitude 0.5 to 2 MPa, and period of 0.5 to 50 s. We performed numerical simulations using measured values of rate/state friction (RSF) parameters to assess our data. Our results show that low frequency stress oscillations cause a Coulomb-like response of shear strength that transitions from stable slip to slow lab earthquakes as frequency increases. At the critical frequency predicted by RSF we observe periodic stick-slip behavior. Perturbations of high amplitude and short period weaken the fault, while lower amplitudes strengthen the fault. We find that a modified RSF formulation is able to accurately match our laboratory data. Our findings highlight the complex effects of stress perturbations for fault strength and the mode of fault slip.</p> <p>The data are uploaded are structured as follow:</p> <p>1) For each experiment a&nbsp;.txt file of the datafile that is recorded from the machine (raw data) and a&nbsp;binary file&nbsp;containing the elaborated data (data_rp). OLIGOTREND, a global database of multi-decadal timeseries of chlorophyll-a and nutrient concentrations in inland and transitional waters, 1986-2023

The Oligotrend database is a collection of multi-decadal chlorophyll-a and nutrient timeseries in inland and transitional waters. The objective of this Data Package was to explore how inland and transitional aquatic ecosystems respond to oligotrophication trends. Overall, the Oligotrend L1 database is made of 4.3 million valid observations originating from 1,894 stations. There are 238, 687 and 969 stations located in estuaries, lakes and rivers, respectively. The top 3 largest sources of data are the French national water quality monitoring (775 stations), the global database of lake datasets from Naderian et al. 2024 (378 stations), and the Chesapeake Bay Program (199 stations). The data was harmonized through a reproducible data processing pathway. In this Data Package, quality-checked level L1 data is provided, together with data sources, geographical coordinates of the stations, and the output of a trend analysis of all timeseries (level L2).

Biome Transition Along Elevational Gradients in New Mexico (SEON) AmeriFlux Data (2007- )

The varied topography and large elevation gradients that characterize the arid and semi-arid Southwest create a wide range of climatic conditions - and associated biomes - within relatively short distances. This creates an ideal experimental system in which to study the effects of climate on ecosystems. Such studies are critical givien that the Southwestern U.S. has already experienced changes in climate that have altered precipitation patterns (Mote et al. 2005), and stands to experience dramatic climate change in the coming decades (Seager et al. 2007; Ting et al. 2007). Climate models currently predict an imminent transition to a warmer, more arid climate in the Southwest (Seager et al. 2007; Ting et al. 2007). Thus, high elevation ecosystems, which currently experience relatively cool and mesic climates, will likely resemble their lower elevation counterparts, which experience a hotter and drier climate. In order to predict regional changes in carbon storage, hydrologic partitioning and water resources in response to these potential shifts, it is critical to understand how both temperature and soil moisture affect processes such as evaportranspiration (ET), total carbon uptake through gross primary production (GPP), ecosystem respiration (Reco), and net ecosystem exchange of carbon, water and energy across elevational gradients.We are using a sequence of six widespread biomes along an elevational gradient in New Mexico -- ranging from hot, arid ecosystems at low elevations to cool, mesic ecosystems at high elevation to test specific hypotheses related to how climatic controls over ecosystem processes change across this gradient. We have an eddy covariance tower and associated meteorological instruments in each biome which we are using to directly measure the exchange of carbon, water and energy between the ecosystem and the atmosphere. Raw EEG-EOG data used in the publication "Auditory Electrooculogram-based Communication System for ALS Patients in Transition from Locked-in to Complete Locked-in State"

<p>The dataset includes raw EEG and EOG recordings during BCI experiments for three patients: p11, p13, p15, and p16. The structure of the dataset is the following: patient/visit/day.</p> <p>The experiment is described in detail in the publication &quot;Auditory Electrooculogram-based Communication System for ALS Patients in Transition from Locked-in to Complete Locked-in State&quot;. The correspondence between raw file and BCI session is reported in the attached pdf file &quot;Supplementary Table S5 Session to Raw File Recordings Correspondence&quot;.</p> <p>The datasets include EEG and EOG channels. The data are raw (i.e. non filtered and non processed). Data have been acquired with a sampling rate of 500Hz using active electrodes and the amplifier V-Amp DC (Brain Products, Germany). EOG channels are labeled EOGU, EOGD, EOGR, EOGL namely for EOG up, down, right, left; the location in the 10-20 system are respectively SO1, IO1, LO1, LO2.</p> <p>The data are marked with triggers: for each session two markers indicate start and end of the session; for each trial markers indicate start of baseline, start of presentation of question, start of response time, start of feedback. Each trial was marked in a different way if it was a yes trial belonging to a training or feedback session, a no trial belonging to a training or feedback session, or a trial belonging to a speller session.
