WaveMAP analysis of extracellular waveforms from monkey premotor cortex during decision-making

Cortical circuits are thought to contain a large number of cell types that coordinate to produce behavior. Current in vivo methods rely on clustering of specified features of extracellular waveforms to identify putative cell types, but these capture only a small amount of variation. Here, we develop a new method (WaveMAP) that combines non-linear dimensionality reduction with graph clustering to identify putative cell types. We apply WaveMAP to extracellular waveforms recorded from dorsal premotor cortex of macaque monkeys performing a decision-making task. Using WaveMAP, we robustly establish eight waveform clusters and show that these clusters recapitulate previously identified narrow- and broad-spiking types while revealing previously unknown diversity within these subtypes. The eight clusters exhibited distinct laminar distributions, characteristic firing rate patterns, and decision-related dynamics. Such insights were weaker when using feature-based approaches. WaveMAP therefore provides a more nuanced understanding of the dynamics of cell types in cortical circuits.

Resonance at the front of lightning impulse voltage waveforms caused by the load capacitor

Numerical simulations with NI-Multisim had been done to verify the hypothesis. Fig. 5 illustrated the simulated waveform , when was set to 150‍ W and was set to 350‍ W. Fig.‍ 5(a) shows the simulated result when no inductance was considered. But for actual circuit, inductance is not negligible. When inductances were added to the circuit in series with the capacitance and resistance, the voltage step would be less steep, and oscillation would appear at the front period. Fig.‍ 5(b) shows the simulated waveform when 0.5‍ mH, 1‍ mH and 2‍ mH inductances are in series with sphere gap (FS), and respectively. These values were estimated according to the LI waveform generation circuit used in my test, and with an approximation that the lead inductance is around 1‍ mH/m.

Mountaintop gamma ray observations of three terrestrial gamma-ray flashes at the Säntis Tower, Switzerland with coincident radio waveforms

We report on the mountain top observation of three terrestrial gamma-ray flashes (TGFs) that occurred during the summer storm season of 2021. To our knowledge, these are the first TGFs observed in a mountaintop environment and the first published European TGFs observed from the ground. A gamma-ray sensitive detector was located at the base of the Säntis Tower in Switzerland and observed three unique TGF events with coincident radio sferic data characteristic of TGFs seen from space. We will show an example of a 'slow pulse' radio signature, an -EIP, and a double peak TGF associated with an extraordinarily powerful and complicated positive-polarity sferic, where each TGF peak is possibly preceded by a short burst of stepped leader emission.

The upgrade of Waveform Dataset in Continuous Mode by improved Montefeltro Seismic Network (MF) in Central-Northern Italy from 2021 to 2022

The temporary seismic network of Montefeltro (FDSN Network code: 1S),
which covers from December 2018 a geographic area between the regions of
Emilia-Romagna and the Marches in central-northern Italy, was implemented with a
new seismic station (ISC Station code: MF05) located in the surroundings of the
town of Perticara (RN), Italy. The new station increases the coverage in the
northern sector of the above described area and the recording by the local network
combined with that of the National Seismic Network allows to obtain a better
resolution in the relocation of events occurred in the area. After this station
addition, the array of Montefeltro seismic network actually consists of four
stations with the last one equipped by dynamic digitizer (Gaia2 data acquisition
unit) and three component extended band seismometer (Lennartz 3D/5s sensor).
The local mobile network records seismic data in continuous mode at 100 sps.

Data availability for all the stations (registered in ISC) of the network 1S
during the time period 2021-2022 is tabled and uploaded in an apart pdf file.

Seismic Instruments and Dataless information:
Station code Sensor Recorder
MF01 Lennartz 3D/5s Sara SL06
MF03 Guralp CMG/20s Reftek 130
MF04 Guralp CMG/30s Reftek 130
MF05 Lennartz 3D/5s INGV Gaia2

The dataless files are separately provided. Parameter estimation data release for paper "Waveform systematics in identifying gravitationally lensed gravitational waves: Posterior overlap method"

This is a second data release for the paper "Waveform systematics in identifying gravitationally lensed gravitational waves: Posterior overlap method", which is available on https://arxiv.org/abs/2306.12908.

This data release contains posterior samples and configuration files for parameter estimation runs performed for the paper. For the lensing hypothesis tests results see the other data release for the same paper.

For each event that we have run parameter estimation for, we provide a tar.gz file that includes the configurations, the priors and the results for each run, typically with several different waveforms. All runs were performed with parallel bilby with different versions as described in section 6.1 of the paper. The input data is available from GWOSC.

The results for IMRPhenom* waveforms (runs with parallel bilby version 1.0.1) are in json format, while for SEOBNRv5PHM and NRSur7dq4 (run with parallel bilby version 2.0.2) some of the results are in hdf5 and others in json, depending on whether multiple runs were merged together. These should be readable with bilby or pesummary.

We provide the "complete" configuration files processed by bilby. These can be used for reproducing the runs, but the prior file information needs to be added with a syntax like the following `prior-file=ProdF4.prior`. Generally most runs use the same prior file, with the labels `Prod*.prior`, taken from the LVK analyses. The priors used for the aligned-spin waveforms have the label `_AS`. For the NRSur7dq4 waveform we use a restricted prior with the label `_NR_Sur_constrMtot`. For GW190527 we also use a different prior for IMRPhenomXP and IMRPhenomTPHM, which has the label `_restricted`.

Also note that for the result file GW190527_NRSur7dq4_N4096_nact50_fmin0_nparallel3_merged_result.hdf5 this was merged from the results obtained with the config GW190527_NRSur7dq4_N4096_nact50_fmin0_nparallel3_config_complete.ini together with the fourth chain of identical configuration.
