AMiner-534K: Knowledge Graph of AMiner benchmark for Author Name Disambiguation

<p>This dataset is a knowledge graph extracted from a&nbsp;<a href="https://static.aminer.cn/misc/na-data-kdd18.zip">AMiner benchmark</a>&nbsp;for a research project on knowledge graph embeddings (KGEs)&nbsp;for author disambiguation. Structural triples of the knowledge graph are split into training, testing and validation for applying representation learning methods. Textual literals and numeric literals were stored separately in order to implement multimodal approaches for KGEs (see&nbsp;<a href="https://arxiv.org/abs/1802.00934">arXiv:1802.00934</a>). For the same reason, textual literals and numeric literals are already stored into sentence embeddings and a&nbsp;numeric matrix&nbsp;respectively in the files&nbsp;<em>textual_literals.npy&nbsp;</em>and&nbsp;<em>numeric_literals.npy</em>. The file&nbsp;<em>and_eval</em><em>.json&nbsp;</em>contains the evaluation dataset used for evaluating our AND architecture. Author list of Anti-Inflammatory Activity and Toxicity Evaluation of 1,3-bis(p-Hydroxyphenyl)urea

<p><strong>Background: </strong>Inflammation is a normal protective response caused by an injury or tissue damage, through physical trauma, damaging chemicals, or invasion of pathogenic microorganisms. One of the modified <em>p</em>-aminophenol compounds is 1,3-bis(<em>p</em>-hydroxyphenyl)urea, which was estimated to have more potent analgesic activity and fewer hepatotoxic side effects than paracetamol. When the lipophilicity of this compound increases between 1.8 to 4.4, it is observed to serve as an anti-inflammatory agent. Therefore, the determination of safety precaution is very necessary while testing for the toxicity effect of 1,3-bis(<em>p</em>-hydroxyphenyl)urea. This is due to the effectiveness and safety of suitable drugs.</p> <p><strong>Methods: </strong>An anti-inflammatory test was carried out by measuring the percentage of inflammation in rats, after the administration of 1,3-bis(<em>p</em>-hydroxyphenyl)urea was previously induced by the carrageenan solution intraplantar and the analysis of neutrophil values through a plethysmometer and Hematoxylin-Eosin method. Also, an acute toxicity test was performed by administering this p-aminophenol compound to female rats for 24 h and observed for 14 days. In addition, a subchronic toxicity test was conducted on male and female rats for 28 days, with continuous observations carried out for 42 days.</p> <p><strong>Results: </strong>The doses of 1,3-bis(<em>p</em>-hydroxyphenyl)urea at 50, 100, and 200 mg/Kg BW, had anti-inflammatory activity compared to diclofenac sodium at 2.25 mg/Kg BW. Also, there is no toxicity and animal death symptoms were observed in the acute and subchronic tests.</p> <p><strong>Conlclusion: </strong>This 1,3-bis(<em>p</em>-hydroxyphenyl)urea compound had an anti-inflammatory activity and relatively low toxicity.</p>

Dataset for paper: " Knowledge Graph Embeddings based Approach for Author Name Disambiguation using Literals"

<p>This dataset consists in two distinct scholarly&nbsp;knowledge graph created from two publicly available bibliographic datasets: 1) a triplestore covering information about the journal <em>Scientometrics</em>&nbsp;provided by&nbsp;<em>OpenCitations</em> (available <a href="https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.5151264">here</a>), and 2) the <em>AMiner </em>AND benchmark from 2018&nbsp;available <a href="https://static.aminer.cn/misc/na-data-kdd18.zip">here</a>. This KG was extracted&nbsp;for a research project on knowledge graph embeddings (KGEs)&nbsp;for author disambiguation. Cartesian and Newtonian authors: a database

<p>The database collects entries in the libraries at Oxford and Cambridge of several Cartesian and Newtonian authors. It aims to chart the diffusion of works published between 1637 (when Descartes&rsquo;s <em>Discours de la m&eacute;thode</em> was published) and 1735 (when the third English edition of Jacques Rohault&rsquo;s <em>Trait&eacute; de physique</em> was printed in London). All works are either authored by or connected in the library catalogues to the following two groups of early modern figures:</p> <ul> <li>Ren&eacute; Descartes (1596&ndash;1650) and the Cartesians Jacques Rohault (1618&ndash;1672), Antoine Le Grand (1629&ndash;1699), Pierre-Sylvain R&eacute;gis (1632&ndash;1707), Nicolas Malebranche (1638&ndash;1715)</li> <li>Isaac Newton (1642&ndash;1727) and the Newtonians David Gregory (1659&ndash;1708), William Whiston (1667&ndash;1752), John Keill (1671&ndash;1721), Samuel Clarke (1675&ndash;1729), Roger Cotes (1682&ndash;1716)</li> </ul> <p>The list is derived from the authors studied in the research project &ldquo;Making Modern Science: tracing the dynamics of a &lsquo;Cartesian Newtonian textbook&rsquo; during the Scientific Revolution&rdquo; (October 2020&ndash;October 2022: <a href="https://cartesian.unibuc.ro/s/making-modern-science">https://cartesian.unibuc.ro/s/making-modern-science</a>). It is centred upon Jacques Rohault and his famous <em>Trait&eacute; de physique</em> of 1671. <p><em>This article discusses the position of the author and the function of the narrator in the story &quot;The Man Without a Head&quot; by A. Kahkhor. The author&#39;s skill in turning reality into fiction in the story, figurative means: the ability to use such artistic means as comparison, comparison, irony, the writer&#39;s ability to use the word, the function of the narrator in the structure of the story, his role in realizing the relationship between the student and the reader, introduction others, their place and significance in the structure of the work, the neutral and biased position of the narrator in the narrative genre, the importance of the method of conveying information to the reader reasonably and quickly in the formation of characters, that the events expected by the reader do not occur in the plot, the reader&rsquo;s plot scientific conclusions are made about the importance the contrast method used in an image to make it appear true to text.</em></p>

anonymized author dataset from the publication "Impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on publishing in astronomy in the initial two years"

<p>We provide the anonymized author dataset that was prepared for the research presented in&nbsp;<a href="https://arxiv.org/pdf/2203.15621.pdf">https://arxiv.org/pdf/2203.15621.pdf</a> . The data is provided as two pickled pandas data frames. The first data frame contains the number of publications each author has written in each year per author position (as 1st author etc.) and their assigned gender. The second file contains the corresponding country of affiliation for each author and year. Open Access Author Contracts Public Dataset

<p>This dataset includes the deidentified respondent demographic data of a survey distributed to open access journal editors from journals registered in the Directory of Open Access Journals&nbsp; (DOAJ). In addition to respondent demographics, the dataset includes the qualitative analyses results conducted by the authors about author's contracts which were solicited as part of the survey. These include basic elements of the contracts provided by the respondents, other terms covered, sharing restriction, and contradictory terms. The contracts themselves or direct text from the contracts is not included in the dataset.</p>

CATCH-EyoU: Public Authorities engaging with youth: Interviews: UK

<p>The data set includes discourse analysis and thematic content analysis of interview transcripts collected with UK and regional politicians, local government youth policy officers, public officials and representatives of youth umbrella organizations. The data set consists of a 38 page preliminary report that summarizes themes and discourses emerging from transcribed extracts derived from 14 audio-recorded interviews in the UK.&nbsp; Personal data has been anonymized in order to protect participants&rsquo; privacy.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>This dataset aims to identify discourses and themes emerging from interviews with policy makers regarding whether and to what extent European Youth policies have been implemented at national, regional and local levels in various member states.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Previous research has only partially answered these questions; comparing different policy makers&rsquo; perspectives, will allow researchers to identify tensions and contradictions in policies implementation, providing new insight for improving policy implementation.</p>

CATCH-EyoU: Public Authorities engaging with youth: Policy Documents: UK

<p>The specific data collected are written public documents by UK governmental and civil society actors regarding youth at European, national and local levels, produced during a three-year period between 2012-2014.&nbsp;The aim of the collection of public documents is to characterize contemporary European Union policy discourses and examine how policies and pronouncements about youth are both conceptualized and enacted in the UK.&nbsp;The dataset contains 10 primary documents selected and summarized in an Excel spreadsheet.&nbsp; Full citation of data sources is provided via excel spreadsheet. The dataset consists of original source document summaries that are catalogued in an excel spreadsheet by identifying information (author/title/year) and summaries of the general character of each document.</p>
