A QUESTIONNAIRE FOR THE ASSESSMENT OF VIOLENT BEHAVIORS IN YOUNG COUPLES: THE ITALIAN VERSION OF DATING VIOLENCE QUESTIONNAIRE (DVQ)

<p>&nbsp;In the last years, intimate partner violence (IPV) became a relevant problem for community and for social life, particularly in young people. Its correct assessment and evaluation in the population is mandatory. Our objectives were: Confirm factor structure of Dating Violence Questionnaire (DVQ) and investigate its convergent and divergent validity. The DVQ along with other personality measures were filled by a sample of 418 university students (Females = 310) of average age of 23 y.o. (SD = 4.71). A subsample of participants (223 students) consented in being involved also in retest and filled also the Revised Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (short form) and a brief scale for describing the behavior of the (past) partner after the breaking of the relationship (BRS). The 8-factor structure, with respect to the two other competing models, reported better fit indexes and showed significant correlations with other personality measures. Personality traits, both Neuroticism and Psychoticism, correlated with Sexual Violence, while Detachment correlated only with Neuroticism and Coercion, Humiliation and Physical Violence correlated with only Psychoticism. Extraversion did not report significant relationships with any of the 8 DVQ factors. Also the predictive validity of DVQ was satisfactory with the partner violent reaction to the break of relationship predicted positively predicted by Coercion (b = 0.22) and by Humiliation (b = 0.20) and negatively by Emotional Punishment (b = -0.18). The present results indicate a good factor structure of the questionnaire, and interesting correlations with personality traits, allowing to identify psychological aspects with a predisposing role for anti-social aggressive behaviors. Further studies will be aimed at ascertaining other possible determinants of intimate partner violence and the weight of cultural aspects.</p>

Using coupled micropillar compression and micro-Laue diffraction to investigate deformation mechanisms in a complex metallic alloy Al13Co4

<p>In this investigation, we have used <em>in-situ</em> micro-Laue diffraction combined with micropillar compression of focused ion beam milled Al<sub>13</sub>Co<sub>4</sub> complex metallic alloy to study the evolution of deformation in Al<sub>13</sub>Co<sub>4</sub>. Streaking of the Laue spots showed that the onset of plastic flow occured at stresses as low as 0.8&nbsp;GPa, although macroscopic yield only becomes apparent at 2&nbsp;GPa. The measured misorientations, obtained from peak splitting, enabled the geometrically necessary dislocation density to be estimated as 1.1 x 10<sup>13</sup>&nbsp;m<sup>-2</sup>.</p>

<p>This repository contains result data for the paper&nbsp;<i> "Influence of flexibility options on the German transmission grid — A sector-coupled mid-term scenario"</i>.</p><p>The published data includes optimization results of the three main scenarios in the mentioned publication.&nbsp;</p><p>The data for each scenario is stored as csv-files, which allows analysing it with many different tools. Data for: Making 1H-1H couplings more accessible and accurate with selective 2DJ NMR experiments aided by 13C satellites

<p><sup>1</sup>H-<sup>1</sup>H coupling constants are one of the primary sources of information for NMR structural analysis. Several selective 2DJ experiments have been proposed that allow their individual measurement at pure shift resolution. However, all these experiments fail in the not uncommon case when coupled protons have very close chemical shifts. Firstly, the coupling between protons with overlapping multiplets is inaccessible due to the inability of a frequency-selective pulse to invert just one of them. Secondly, the strong coupling condition affects the accuracy of coupling measurements involving third spins. These shortcomings impose a limit on the effectiveness of state-of-the-art experiments, such as G-SERF or PSYCHEDELIC. Here, we introduce two new and complementary selective 2DJ experiments that we coin SERFBIRD and SATASERF. These experiments overcome the aforementioned issues by utilizing the <sup>13</sup>C satellite signals at natural isotope abundance, which resolve the chemical shift degeneracy. We demonstrate the utility of these experiments on the tetrasaccharide stachyose and the challenging case of norcamphor, for the latter achieving measurement of all <em>J</em><sub>HH</sub> couplings while only few were accessible with PSYCHEDELIC. The new experiments are applicable to any organic compound and will prove valuable for configurational and conformational analyses.</p> <p>This deposit contains Bruker pulse sequences of the SERFBIRD and SATASERF experiments, and the Bruker NMR experimental data. See the readme.pdf file for an overview of the latter.</p>

Pre-built Swiss-Calliope sector-coupled energy model

<div> <h3>Swiss-Calliope prebuilt model</h3> <div>The model consists of Switzerland and its neighbours, as described in <a href="https://doi.org/10.1016/j.enconman.2024.118426" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Mellot et al., 2024</a>. Switzerland's heating and transport sectors are modelled on top of its electricity sector.</div> <br> <div>The model is ready to be loaded into Calliope, for 2016--2018. This prebuilt was specifically designed for the study of Switzerland's winter deficit, but is easily modifiable for any other analysis. Refer to Calliope's&nbsp;<a href="https://calliope.readthedocs.io/en/stable/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">documentation</a>&nbsp;for information on how to do this.</div> <br> <div>To run the same scenarios as for the Swiss winter deficit analysis, you need to do the following steps. Note that these scenarios were ran on ETH's Euler cluster which uses the slurm batch system. You can otherwise just adapt the following shell scripts to run the scenarios on other systems.</div> <div>1. Set up the conda environment with the correct version of calliope&nbsp;<code>conda env create -f environment.yaml</code>. On slurm systems you may also need to load gurobi <code>module load new gurobi/9.0.0</code>.</div> <div>2. Run the baseline scenarios, i.e. those corresponding to the EP2050+ configuration, by running <code>sh run_baselines 4</code>, where 4 corresponds to the time resolution.</div> <div>3. Once these runs are finished, run the python file <code>python read_baselines_and_fix_neighbours.py</code>. This will fix Switzerland's neighbouring countries' installed capacities for the next scenarios.</div> <div>4. Then you may run the study's scenarios by running&nbsp;<code>sh run_initial_scenarios.sh 4</code>, and the sensitivity analysis scenarios by running&nbsp;<code>sh run_sensitivies.sh 4</code>.</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>The model's units are GW, GWh, Million euros, and Million kilometers.</div> </div>
