Associations of self-compassion with shame, guilt, and training motivation after sport-specific daily stress – a smartphone study
<p>By applying a diary study design, we investigated the role of selfcompassion during sport-specific daily stress (SSDS) with regard to the negative self-conscious emotions of shame and guilt and training motivation. We hypothesised that self-compassion would protect athletes from certain self-conscious emotions, namely shame, after SSDS. We also predicted that self-compassion would either increase or decrease the relationship between stress and motivation. Ninety-six athletes (Mage = 22.14, SD = 5.92) reported their level of self-compassion and evaluated their trainings and/or competitions over three weeks in terms of experienced stress, guilt, shame and subsequent training motivation on their smartphones. Multilevel analyses showed that SSDS was associated with more negative self-conscious emotions and reduced training motivation. Moreover, self-compassion weakened the effect of SSDS on shame and was not correlated with training motivation. We discuss the results with regard to sport psychology practice and future research.</p>

Study of the effect of sports on the menstrual function of girls
<p><strong><span><span> </span>Цель:</span></strong><span> В последние годы увеличивается количество девочек-подростков, занимающихся профессиональным спортом, и влияние этой деятельности на репродуктивное здоровье девочек, особенности репродуктивной системы девочек-подростков, т.е. частота нарушений менструального цикла зависит от типа физические упражнения и видно, что она варьируется в зависимости от характера нагрузок, <strong>Материалы и методы:</strong> Ташкентский городской детско-юношеский спортивный комплекс №1 в 2023-2024 гг. Девочки-подростки 12-16 лет, постоянно занимающиеся Специальные профессиональные виды спорта и спортивные девушки-подростки, не занимающиеся спортом, проанализированы по результатам проспективного опроса и обследования. <strong>Результаты исследования:</strong> Исследование проведено на базе 3-х групп с поздним началом менструального цикла. среди девушек 12-16 лет, длительно занимающихся профессиональным спортом или указавших, что будут нарушения в продолжительности.<span> </span>I. В основной группе по частоте нарушений менструального цикла выявлена частота олигоменарии, менархе, первичной дисменарии на 10% выше, чем во II группе сравнения и III. <strong>Заключение.</strong> Относительно неправильное планирование физической активности и тренировочного цикла, интенсивности, возраста, пола является следствием неведения девочками-подростками здорового образа жизни, имеется связь между формированием менструальной функции девочек-подростков и ее влиянием на репродуктивную систему.</span></p> <p><strong><em><span>Ключевые слова</span></em></strong><em><span>:</span></em><strong><span> </span></strong><em><span>Физическое воспитание,</span></em><em><span> </span></em><em><span>профессиональный спорт, художественная гимнастика, репродуктивное здоровье, менструальный цикл, менархе, дисменорея</span></em><span>.</span></p>
The effect of perceived crowding on risk perception in leisure sports: Based on Edward T. Hall's concept of "proxemics"
<p class="MsoNormal"><span>This study aims to identify how we can prevent the spread of infectious diseases and examines the social distancing required for participants in leisure sports activities to safely enjoy these activities. Based on crowdedness and risk perception in spaces perceived by people today, the above is investigated in terms of distance in Edward T. Hall's concept of proxemics. The study subjects are people aged 20</span><span>–</span><span>65 who used spaces for leisure sports during the COVID-19 pandemic in South Korea. An online survey was conducted from September 20 to October 20, 2021, and data from a total of 391 participants were used for the final analysis. Measures of perceived crowding, risk perception, and Edward T. Hall's proxemics were used as the tools after modifying and validating them. The results showed that perceived crowding according to space for leisure sports activities during the COVID-19 pandemic affected individual risk perception in indoor leisure sports and social risk perception in outdoor leisure activities. Perceived crowding according to proxemics influenced personal, social, and public distance in individual risk perception and public and social distance in social risk perception. Therefore, it is necessary to re-examine the scope of social distance in perceiving risk perception and reducing the crowdedness of participants in leisure sports activities to prevent the spread of infectious diseases like COVID-19. Moreover, individuals must make efforts to maintain a minimum distance from others. Further, media education and warning messages must be disseminated to prevent infection and reduce crowding.</span></p>
