Species were identified from vouchers, and vouchers were not collected for all species at all sites, hence the unidentified species (these can be used to calculate total ant abundance and species richness at a bait card, but not total species richness or anything involving trophic levels or sizes). 98% of ant individuals observed and 93% of ant occurrences had an associated voucher EAV: EEG-Audio-Video Dataset for Emotion Recognition in Conversational Contexts
<p>Understanding emotional states is pivotal for the development of next-generation human-machine interfaces. Human behaviors in social interactions have resulted in psycho-physiological processes influenced by perceptual inputs. Therefore, efforts to comprehend brain functions and human behavior could potentially catalyze the development of AI models with human-like attributes. In this study, we introduce a multimodal emotion dataset comprising data from 30-channel electroencephalography (EEG), audio, and video recordings from 42 participants. Each participant engaged in a cue-based conversation scenario, eliciting five distinct emotions: neutral, anger, happiness, sadness, and calmness. Throughout the experiment, each participant contributed 200 interactions, which encompassed both listening and speaking. This resulted in a cumulative total of 8,400 interactions across all participants. We evaluated the baseline performance of emotion recognition for each modality using established deep neural network (DNN) methods. The Emotion in EEG-Audio-Visual (EAV) dataset represents the first public dataset to incorporate three primary modalities for emotion recognition within a conversational context. We anticipate that this dataset will make significant contributions to the modeling of the human emotional process, encompassing both fundamental neuroscience and machine learning viewpoints.</p>

<p>The current dataset in this record refers to the paper titled "Quiero ir más lento”: understanding the GenAI hype as female LatinX academics explores the impact of generative AI (GenAI) on academic life, particularly for female LatinX scholars. It highlights how the rapid rise of AI technologies has created pressure for faster productivity, leading to feelings of disconnection and overwhelm. In response, the paper advocates for embracing "slow scholarship," which resists the fast-paced, neoliberal demands of academia and allows space for reflection and care. Using a collaborative autoethnography approach, the paper captures the personal experiences of three academics who engage in collective reflection on the pressures and ethical dilemmas associated with AI. Through this method, they discuss the importance of slowing down and adopting a critical stance toward the use of AI in academic practices. The results emphasize the need for alternative academic approaches that prioritize human understanding, emotional well-being, and collaboration. The conclusion calls for a shift away from the dominant AI-driven narrative, advocating for an inclusive and context-sensitive approach to academic work. Hateful Messages: A Conversational Data Set of Hate Speech produced by Adolescents on Discord
<p>With the rise of social media, a rise of hateful content can be observed. Even though the understanding and definitions of hate speech varies, platforms, communities, and legislature all acknowledge the problem. Therefore, adolescents are a new and active group of social media users. The majority of adolescents experience or witness online hate speech. Research in the field of automated hate speech classification has been on the rise and focuses on aspects such as bias, generalizability, and performance. To increase generalizability and performance, it is important to understand biases within the data. This research addresses the bias of youth language within hate speech classification and contributes by providing a modern and anonymized hate speech youth language data set consisting of 88.395 annotated chat messages. The data set consists of publicly available online messages from the chat platform Discord. ~6,42\% of the messages were classified by a self-developed annotation schema as hate speech. For 35.553 messages, the user profiles provided age annotations setting the average author age to under 20 years old.</p>
