The network characteristics of classic red tourist attractions in Shaanxi province, China

<p>Tourism flow is a significant tourism phenomenon and a hot topic of tourism geography research. This study, based on the perspective of combining <span>'virtual' and 'reality'</span><span>,</span> takes 13 classic red tourism scenic areas in Shaanxi <span>p</span>rovince as examples. It constructs a multi-source data network attention evaluation index and adopts social network analysis method to explore the network attention and tourism flow of the study case, and further investigates the relationship between the two. Th<span>e</span> study shows that: (1) The case sites have formed a spatial layout <span>of the </span><span>'</span>dense in the north and sparse in the south'. Among them, the total number of attractions in <span>n</span>orthern Shaanxi is the largest and most are concentrated in Yan<span>'</span>an; the total number of attractions in <span>s</span>outhern Shaanxi is the smallest and mo<span>st</span> scattered. (2) The overall network attention of the case sites is low, and there is variability in network attention of different types of tourist attractions, among which network attention of the attractions in Yan<span>'</span>an City is high. (3) The network structure of tourism flow in the case <span>has</span> the spatial characteristics of low density, <span>'</span>one level and multicore<span>'</span> and significant small network groups. (4) There are correlations and differences between network attention and tourism flow in the sites <span>in question</span>. Based on the differences between them, the attractions are classified into four types: high-high, high-low, low-high and low-low. In response to the above findings, this study proposes the principle of <span>'</span>precision identification and classification<span>'</span>, and proposes targeted development strategies such as <span>c</span>reating high-quality regional tourist routes<span>,</span> promoting the digital development of <span>tourist attractions</span>, and innovating <span>the </span>ways to promote attractions.</p>

Code generation for classical-quantum software systems modelled in UML - Dataset and EGL Transformation

<p>This dataset contains all the elements necessary for carry out the EGL transformation from UML models to Hybrid and Quantum code, as well as to carry its validation.&nbsp;</p> <blockquote> <p><em>Quantum computing is gaining an increasing interest since it can solve certain problems exponentially faster than classical computing. Thus, many organizations are researching and launching investments for integrating quantum software into their existing systems. Software modernization (as based on Model-Driven Engineering) has been proposed to migrate from/to the so-called hybrid software systems, which integrate classical and quantum software. In that process, both, reverse engineering and restructuring phases, have already been investigated. However, forward engineering phase for generating hybrid source code from high-level design models has not yet been addressed. Thus, this research proposes a quantum code generation technique from extended UML design models. It consists of a set of Model-to-Text transformations (defined through Epsilon Generation Language) to generate both Python and Qiskit code, which respectively integrate classical and quantum code. The transformation has been validated through a multi-case study with 7 hybrid software systems modelled in UML, which demonstrated that the transformation is effective and efficient. The implication of this work is that the software modernization process for hybrid software systems can be completed by tackling forward engineering phase, and that Model-Driven Engineering can therefore globally facilitate industry adoption of quantum software.</em></p> </blockquote>

Multitrack Western Instrumental Classical Trio Dataset

<p>Synthesized Trio dataset with added percussion (hammer sounds) based on the piano of the original piece. The original use case was to find remixing preferences for cochlear implant users in Western instrumental classical music with a low number of instruments and with a similar separation of musical components as used in pop music remixing (i.e. melody, bass, accompaniment, and percussion).</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Note, that instruments differ from the original composition. The used instruments are shown in the table below. Connecting Classical and Quantum

<p>The incompatibility of quantum mechanics and general relativity presents a major challenge in physics.</p> <p>This paper explores a framework where <strong>spacetime</strong> <strong>emerges</strong> <em>from a spin network</em>, a discrete quantum geometry operating within <em>quantum foam</em>. Gravitons act as excitations of this network, linking quantum and classical descriptions of gravity.</p> <p>Dark energy, driven by entanglement or quantum foam dynamics, explains the universe&rsquo;s accelerated expansion. By addressing black hole entropy, time emergence, and testable quantum corrections,&nbsp;<strong><em>this work aims to advance efforts toward a unified theory of quantum gravity.&nbsp;<br></em></strong></p> <p>This paper is <em>my current understanding and idea</em> of a unified framework for quantum gravity by integrating <strong>spin networks, quantum foam, and gravitons</strong>. Spacetime, emerging from a discrete quantum geometry, transitions to classical curvature through <em>coarse-graining</em>. </p> <p>Gravitons are treated as excitations of spin networks, mediating spacetime curvature, while dark energy <em>arises as a manifestation</em> of quantum entanglement or residual vacuum energy. <strong>Key features include the emergence of time, black hole entropy quantization, and testable predictions such as quantum corrections to gravitational waves and CMB anomalies.</strong> This work offers a foundation for connecting quantum mechanics and general relativity.<strong><em><br></em></strong></p>

While the complexity scaling of dynamics and measurements are well known, many state preparation methods are strongly system-dependent and require prior knowledge of the system&rsquo;s eigenvalue spectrum. Here, we report on a quantum-classical implementation of the coupled-cluster Green&rsquo;s function (CCGF) method, which replaces explicit ground state preparation with the task of applying unitary operators to a simple product state. While our approach is broadly applicable to a wide range of models, we demonstrate it here for the Anderson impurity model (AIM). The method requires a number of T gates that grow as $O(N^5)$ per time step to calculate the impurity Green&rsquo;s function in the time domain, where N is the total number of energy levels in the AIM. For comparison, a classical CCGF calculation of the same order would require computational resources that grow as $O(N^6)$ per time step.</p>

Staging to join non-kin groups in a classical cooperative breeder, the Florida scrub-jay

<p>1. Why unrelated members form groups in animal societies remains a pertinent topic in evolutionary biology because benefits for group members often are not obvious. We studied subordinates that disperse to join unrelated social groups in the Florida scrub-jay Aphelocoma coerulescens, a cooperative breeding species mainly composed of kin-based groups. 2. We evaluated potential adaptive benefits of dispersing to become an unrelated helper (staging) versus remaining home and dispersing only to pair and breed (direct dispersal) to understand why non-kin-based groups form. 3. Using 35 years of demographic data, we quantified life history aspects of staging individuals and tested associations between social and ecological factors on the natal and staging territories. We compared fitness outcomes between dispersal strategies by analyzing survival, breeding recruitment, and direct reproductive output. We tested for sexual asymmetry potentially driven by differences in territory acquisition patterns and female-biased dispersal for this species. 4. Of birds that reached one-year-old, 28% staged at a non-natal territory before breeding or disappearing. Staging dispersers departed at younger ages and moved greater distances than direct dispersers. When looking at proximate factors on the natal territory associated with staging, males left groups with many same-sex helpers, while females often left when their father disappeared. For both sexes, staging individuals more likely came from high-quality territories and joined groups with fewer same-sex helpers than in their natal group. While staging and direct dispersers did not differ in survival or likelihood of becoming a breeder, staging males became breeders later and had lower lifetime reproductive success than direct dispersers. 5. In Florida scrub-jays, staging appears to be an alternative strategy for female helpers, but a best-of-a-bad-situation for males. This sexual asymmetry is consistent with males having more options than females to achieve higher reproductive success by breeding near home. Tradeoffs in cost-benefits of departing natal territory and joining unrelated groups as a helper seem to best explain alternative dispersal patterns, with optimal social queues primarily driving the benefits. This research highlights plasticity in dispersal behavior in response to social and environmental conditions and offers new perspective in our understanding of non-kin-based social groups.</p>

Competition components along productivity gradients – revisiting a classic dispute in ecology

Competition is ubiquitous in plant communities with various effects on plant fitness and community structure. A long-standing debate about different approaches to explain competition is the controversy between David Tilman and Philip Grime. Grime stated that the importance of competition relative to the impact of the environment increases along a productivity gradient, while Tilman argued that the intensity of competition is independent of productivity. To revisit this controversy, we assumed that the effects of plant-plant interactions are additive and applied the new competition indices by Diaz-Sierra et al. (2017) in a field experiment along a productivity gradient in S-Germany, using the rare arable plant Arnoseris minima as a study species. The 'target technique' was applied, to separate the effects of root and shoot competition. The study plants were exposed to five competition treatments with three replicates in 18 sites, respectively. We investigated the expectation that root competition is more intense in unproductive sites than shoot competition. Additionally, we predicted survival to be less affected by competition than growth-related plant parameters. Using the biomass of individuals without competition as a proxy for site productivity there was a positive relationship with competition importance but no relationship with competition intensity when plants experienced full competition. Survival of the target plants was unaffected by competition. Root competition was the main mechanism determining the performance of the target plants, whereas the effect of shoot competition was relatively low albeit increasing with productivity. Population and single dopamine neuron activity during classical conditioning

<p>We trained naive or trained mice to associate odor cues with outcome (water, air puff or no outcome), and recorded dopamine cell body activity in the vetral tegmental area (VTA), dopamine axon activity in the ventral striatum (VS) or dopamine release in VS with optic fiber fluorometry (photometry). In different set of mice, single dopamine neuron activiy was recorded with 2-photon microscope. In some of these mice, we reversed odor-outcome contingency so that an odor that was associated with no outcome or air puff became associated with water reward. Licking pattern was also recorded.</p>
