Vacuum-Sublimed Cocrystalline Thin Films of Naphthalene Bisimide and Pt(II) Complex for Phosphorescent Light-Emitting Diodes
<p>Additional data to report <a href="https://doi.org/10.1002/adom.202402117">https://doi.org/10.1002/adom.202402117</a>:</p> <p>Cocrystals employing small organic molecules with platinum(II)-complexes are known to exhibit organic room-temperature phosphorescence (RTP). However, this desirable property was so far only demonstrated in the macroscopic 1:1 cocrystalline state, which limitsdevice applications outside of small single-crystal devices. Here, we show that vacuum cosublimed thin films of both components in various mixing ratios form layers with selfassembled small cocrystalline domains which exhibit RTP. This Pt(II) doping improved the photoluminescence (PL) quantum yield (ΦPL) of the now phosphorescence emitting 1,8:4,5-naphthalene bisimide (NBI) from below 0.1% to 9% in respective thin films. These doped layers were employed as active layers in light-emitting diodes to emit red electroluminescence (EL). Via time-resolved measurements the lifetime of the device EL was determined in accordance with the PL to be around 50 µs. Maximum external quantum efficiencies (EQEs) of over 0.2% with RTP emission signatures consistent with the PL of solution-grown cocrystals could be achieved.</p>

<p>The Training School 1 <strong>“Computational Methods to Study Protein Phase Separation”</strong> is the first edition of a series of PhasAGE training activities.</p> <p>The goal of this course is to provide participants with the basic knowledge to understand the phenomenon of <strong>Phase Separation</strong>, its role in biological processes and diseases. In addition, the course will provide <strong>an overview of the available computational resources</strong> to navigate this knowledge. Participants will have <strong>hands-on training</strong> in tools and resources available for life sciences, to collect information from the literature on biomolecular phase transitions, identify features triggering phase transitions, mutations associated with diseases, known or predicted PTMs and molecular interaction sites.</p>

Dataset for Algorithms and Complexity for Counting Configurations in Steiner Triple Systems
<p>This dataset contains the classification of full n-line configurations (for all n <= 13, filename: "full_line_config_<n>.txt.gz") and w_3 configurations (for all w <= 16, filename: "w_3_config_<w>.txt.gz") together with the sizes of minimum generating sets. Each file lists "m<s>" so that s is the size of the minimum generating set of the subsequent configuration, which is denoted by writing the points of each of its lines row-wise. For example</p> <p>m3<br> 0 1 4<br> 0 2 6<br> 0 3 5<br> 1 2 5<br> 1 3 6<br> 2 3 4<br> 4 5 6</p> <p>is the Fano plane and its minimum generating set has size 3.</p> <p>Additionally, the file "fulllineconjecture.txt.gz" contains the 623 Steiner triple systems of order 25 (i.e., all rows which contain curly brackets) used in Theorem 7 in the paper below, followed by a row starting with 1 and then describing the number of occurrences of all 179 full n-line configurations for n <= 8, i.e., first the number of occurrences of Pasch configurations, then mitre configurations, then the 5 full 6-line configurations, the 19 full 7-line configurations, and finally the 153 full 8-line configurations contained in the STS(25) in the preceding row. The ordering follows the ordering within the files "full_line_config_<n>.txt.gz". Prediction of inter-chain distance maps of protein complexes with 2D attention-based deep neural networks
<p>Residue-residue distance information is useful for predicting tertiary structures of protein monomers or quaternary structures of protein complexes. Many deep learning methods have been developed to predict intra-chain residue-residue distances of monomers accurately, but few methods can accurately predict inter-chain residue-residue distances of complexes. We develop a deep learning method CDPred (i.e., Complex Distance Prediction) based on the 2D attention-powered residual network to address the gap. Tested on two homodimer datasets, CDPred achieves the precision of 60.94% and 42.93% for top L/5 inter-chain contact predictions (L: length of the monomer in homodimer), respectively, substantially higher than DeepHomo’s 37.40% and 23.08% and GLINTER’s 48.09% and 36.74%. Tested on the two heterodimer datasets, the top Ls/5 inter-chain contact prediction precision (Ls: length of the shorter monomer in heterodimer) of CDPred is 47.59% and 22.87% respectively, surpassing GLINTER’s 23.24% and 13.49%. Moreover, the prediction of CDPred is complementary with that of AlphaFold2-multimer.</p>

Simulation trajectory can be visualised with PyMOL or VMD.</p> <p> </p> <p>The protein was described by the AMBER14ff (Maier, et al 2015), and the RNA with the OL3 force field (Zgarbova et al, 2011)</p> <p>and the TIP3P water model was employed (Jorgensen et al, 1983).</p>
Data from: Complex climate-mediated effects of urbanization on plant reproductive phenology and frost risk
<p>This dataset comprises crowdsourced data using digitized herbarium specimen images from two comprehensively digitized regional floras; the Consortium of Northeastern Herbaria (CNH; <a href="http://portal.neherbaria.org/portal/">http://portal.neherbaria.org/portal/</a>) and Southeast Regional Network of Expertise and Collections (SERNEC; <a href="http://sernecportal.org/portal/index.php">http://sernecportal.org/portal/index.php</a>) for 200 plant species in the eastern United States, and four reproductive phenophases (i.e., flowering, peak flowering, fruiting, and peak fruiting) extracted from the herbarium specimens with associated climate data from PRISM and human population density from US Census Bureau.</p>

CRACK-CH: A Crack detection and classification dataset on complex stone masonry surfaces
<p><strong>Description</strong></p> <p>This dataset includes various images with cracks from the test sites of HYPERION H2020 project (Grant Agreement No. 821054). Specifically, square image patches of 224x224 pixels from the test sites of Naillac and St. Nikolaos Fort are included.</p> <p>The Saint Nikolaos Fort is an important part of the great fortifications of the Medieval City of Rhodes located at the entrance of the Mantraki port. At this location, there was just a chapel dedicated to Saint Nikolaos until 1464, when it was turned to a fortification. Since then it has undergone reinforcements and expansions in order to defend the city. The outer walls were built in 1480 AD and in 1863 AD it was finally transformed to a lighthouse. The second study area is the Naillac at Saint Paul’s rampart where a monumental tower was located as part of the fortification of the Commercial Harbour of Rhodes. It was constructed around 1400 AD on the Hellenistic Pier, but it was destroyed in 1863 after a severe earthquake. In 2017, the Naillac Tower was graphically reconstructed and presented as it stood until 1863, during the Ottoman rule. The Rodini Roman Bridge is one of the few ancient bridges surviving in Greece and part of the Hellenistic fortification of the city, making it a monument of great importance. It was built across the stream of Rhodini, situated outside the Medieval City and has two arched openings. The Roman Bridge is in continuous use until today and its static efficiency has deteriorated, while the scaffoldings which now support the arches are gradually rusting and losing their efficiency.
