Intention to Use Cybersecurity in SMEs: Improving SMEs' Performance
<p><span>This study prompted by observation where there are a considerable percentage of SMEs had not yet adopted cybersecurity, while witnessing a substantial number of cyberattacks being faced in SMEs. This study aims to explore the level of interest and motivation among Small-Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in adopting cybersecurity to reduce and prevent cyberattacks. This research model uses Structural Equation Model (SEM) and SmartPLS 4.0 as statistical tools. By using Purposive Sampling Method data was collected via an online questionnaire with 129 respondents from 26 April to 26 May 2024, consisting of people who play a part in SMEs that have not adopted cybersecurity. The proposed model has eight variables: Intention to Use Cybersecurity (INT), Observability (OBSR), Competitive Pressure (CP), Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU), Perceived Usefulness (PU), Compatibility (COMP), Technological Readiness (TR), and Trialability (TRI). The result stated that six out of ten hypotheses are accepted, and the rest are rejected.</span></p>
Amplifying Customer's Motivation Through Marketing Activities to Increase Purchase Intention in Social Commerce
<p><span>As information technology keeps evolving, social commerce has become a common alternative for Indonesians to purchase products online. Social commerce successfully facilitates social interactions between customers and business actors on one platform, combining the idea of social network sites and electronic commerce (e-commerce). The problem is that social commerce provides users with an effortless way to compare one product to another, leading to another challenge for businesses to compete with competitors. Hence, this research aims to identify how to amplify customers’ motivation when they see any product marketing activities in social commerce and how that motivation can increase their purchase intention towards the product. The method used in this study is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) PLS with the purposive sampling method for primary data collection. The data were taken from social commerce users who have seen any product marketing labeled content. The primary data of 169<em> </em>respondents were collected from April to September 2024 from the people who live in Indonesia. The result shows that all of the seven hypotheses are accepted. </span></p>

<p>The following dataset is a dataset from a study that investigated social media marketing activities that affect parasocial interaction and brand equity. In addition, this study also aims to investigate the relationship of parasocial interaction and brand equity to purchase intention.</p>
Honest signalling of cooperative intentions
<p>Trust can transform conflicting interests into cooperation. But how can individuals know when to trust others? Here, I develop the theory that reputation building may signal cooperative intent, or 'trustworthiness'. I model a simple representation of this theory in which individuals (1) optionally invest in a reputation by performing costly helpful behaviour ('signalling'); (2) optionally use others' reputations when choosing a partner; and (3) optionally cooperate with that partner. In evolutionary simulations, high levels of reputation building; of choosing partners based on reputation; and of cooperation within partnerships emerged. Costly helping behaviour evolved into an honest signal of trustworthiness when it was adaptive for cooperators, relative to defectors, to invest in the long-term benefits of a reputation for helping. I show using game theory that this occurs when cooperators gain larger marginal benefits from investing in signalling than do defectors. This happens without the usual costly signalling assumption that individuals are of two 'types' which differ in quality. Signalling of trustworthiness may help explain phenomena such as philanthropy, pro-sociality, collective action, punishment, and advertising in humans and may be particularly applicable to courtship in other animals.</p>
