EncycNet: A Knowledge Graph of Historical German Encyclopedias

EncycNet is an automatically constructed knowledge graph that uses historical German encyclopedias as a data source. You can read more about the project here: https://encycnet.github.io/

The first version of the graph (0.1) contains Meyers Großes Konversations-Lexikon (1905), with 5 more encyclopedias to be added in 2024. Formatted in RDF Turtle.

The second version of the graph (0.2) contains 3 encyclopedias in total, meaning triples were changed to quads (see code example at https://github.com/EncycNet/Encyc-Relations):

Meyers Großes Konversations-Lexikon (1905)

Herders Conversations-Lexikon (1854)

Brockhaus Bilder-Conversations-Lexikon (1837)

The second version also handled some bug fixes concerning wrongly matched Wikidata entries.

The third version (0.3) now additionally contains

Brockhaus Conversations-Lexikon oder kurzgefaßtes Handwörterbuch (1809)

It also impoved some namespace issues and introduced P8371 as encyclopedic refeferences in this case.

AMiner-534K: Knowledge Graph of AMiner benchmark for Author Name Disambiguation

This dataset is a knowledge graph extracted from a AMiner benchmark for a research project on knowledge graph embeddings (KGEs) for author disambiguation. Structural triples of the knowledge graph are split into training, testing and validation for applying representation learning methods. Textual literals and numeric literals were stored separately in order to implement multimodal approaches for KGEs (see arXiv:1802.00934). For the same reason, textual literals and numeric literals are already stored into sentence embeddings and a numeric matrix respectively in the files textual_literals.npy and numeric_literals.npy. The file and_eval.json contains the evaluation dataset used for evaluating our AND architecture. For the script used to gather this dataset see the GitHub repository: https://github.com/sntcristian/and-kge/tree/main/aminer.

Dataset for paper: " Knowledge Graph Embeddings based Approach for Author Name Disambiguation using Literals"

This dataset consists in two distinct scholarly knowledge graph created from two publicly available bibliographic datasets: 1) a triplestore covering information about the journal Scientometrics provided by OpenCitations (available here), and 2) the AMiner AND benchmark from 2018 available here. This KG was extracted for a research project on knowledge graph embeddings (KGEs) for author disambiguation. Structural triples of the knowledge graphs are split into training, testing and validation for applying representation learning methods. Textual literals and numeric literals were stored separately in order to implement multimodal approaches for KGEs (see arXiv:1802.00934). For the same reason, textual literals and numeric literals are already stored into sentence embeddings and a numeric matrix respectively in the files textual_literals.npy and numeric_literals.npy in order to simplify the representation learning task. The file and_eval.json of each KG contains the evaluation dataset used for evaluating our AND architecture. For the script used to gather this dataset see https://github.com/sntcristian/and-kge/tree/main/src/AMiner-534K and https://github.com/sntcristian/and-kge/tree/main/src/OC-782K.

ClaimsKG - A Knowledge Graph of Fact-Checked Claims

The latest release of ClaimsKG is available in Datorium.

ClaimsKG is a knowledge graph of metadata information for thousands of fact-checked claims which facilitates structured queries about their truth values, authors, dates, and other kinds of metadata. ClaimsKG is generated through a (semi-)automated pipeline, which harvests claim-related data from popular fact-checking web sites, annotates them with related entities from DBpedia, and lifts all data to RDF using an RDF/S model that makes use of established vocabularies (such as schema.org).

ClaimsKG does NOT contain the text of the reviews from the fact-checking web sites; it only contains structured metadata information and links to the reviews.

More information, such as statistics, query examples and a user friendly interface to explore the knowledge graph, is available at: https://data.gesis.org/claimskg/site

If you use ClaimsKG, please cite the below paper:

Tchechmedjiev, Andon, Pavlos Fafalios, Katarina Boland, Malo Gasquet, Matthäus Zloch, Benjamin Zapilko, Stefan Dietze, and Konstantin Todorov. "ClaimsKG: a Knowledge Graph of Fact-Checked Claims." In International Semantic Web Conference, pp. 309-324. BOCK: Biological networks and Oligogenic Combinations as a Knowledge graph 2.0

BOCK is a knowledge graph integrating oligogenic disease information (originally from the Oligogenic Disease Database (Natchtegael et al. 2022)) together with multiple biological networks and ontologies.

Compared to more generic knowledge graphs, we selected specifically networks relevant to understand the molecular mechanisms of epistasis, placing genes as the central entities, and focused on trusted resources describing a large set of human genes and their interactions.

All entities in the KG are linked to their source database entry via an URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) to facilitate integrations within larger bioinformatics linked data repositories.

BOCK 2.0 integrates recent versions of the used ontologies and databases, as well as additional pathway-specific (The Reactome Pathway Knowledgebase 2024, Milacic et al.) and tissue-specific information (COXPRESdb v8, Obayashi et al.). Additionally the database used for the coexpression relation between genes, has been replaced by COXPRESdb v8.

We provide BOCK 2.0 in three formats:

GraphML (Graph Markup Language): a network format enabling the fast import of the KG by multiple libraries (e.g networkx) and tools (e.g Cytoscape).

XML (Extensible Markup Language): a text-encoding system that is human-readable and compatible with many systems.

Neo4J import files: tab-separated files that can be easily imported into Neo4J using the neo4j-admin utils.

Gazetteer_HTO: A Knowledge Graph for representing the Gazetteers of Scotland (1803-1901) following Heritage Textual Ontology

This Knowlege Graph represents the information of the "Gazeteers of Scotland" (years: 1803 - 1901) collection in RDF (ttl format). This collection comprises twenty volumes of the most popular descriptive gazetteers of Scotland in the 19th century. Principal places in Scotland, including towns, counties, castles, glens, antiquities and parishes, are listed alphabetically. Each entry includes detailed historical and geographical information about each place. The raw dataset is provided by the NLS in this link. As other NLS data collections, they are originally provided using two XMLs schemas: METS for descriptive, structural, technical and administrative metadata (Title, Author, Publisher, etc); and ALTO for encoding the OCR text of a page.

In this work, we have extracted the information from METS and ALTO XMLS using defoe tool. The KG uses the HTO to represent the information extracted. Furthermore, during the information extraction phase, we have employed several techniques to mitigate two common OCR errors: long-S and the line-break hyphenation.
