Bethel Digital Lockdown: Controller by Jett HL

This is the Nintendo switch controller that I would use to play my gaming system to pass time. I would specifically remember playing games like Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Super Smash Brothers Ultimate. I spent a lot of time playing my switch and having fun while stuck inside. Effect of social media on mental health during Covid-19 lockdowns in India

As the COVID-19 pandemic restricted individuals to their houses for a substantial amount of time, people took to the virtual world to stay connected with their peers, family and friends. Likewise, news channels and other forms of electronic media also witnessed a steep rise in viewership all across the globe. That being said, social media has led to adverse impacts on the mental health of individuals through addiction, stress, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress syndromes.

The primary objective of this data is to analyze both the positive and negative effects of social media usage on individuals during an unprecedented global lockdown. Existing literature has found significant connections between the use of social media and mental health during extensive periods of lockdown (Swarnam. S., 2021; Pragholapat, A., 2020., Hong, W. et al., 2020). This dataset is used to understand the extent of depression and anxiety experienced by persons restricted to stay-at-home confinements during the deadly second wave of Covid-19 lockdown in India. Information has also been collected to associate social media usage during a lockdown and suicidal tendencies if any.

Bethel Digital Lockdown: A Quilt by Katie Friese

This is a quilt that my paternal grandmother gave me this quilt for a gradution gift. During lockdown I spent a lot of time at my desk doing online school and grew cold in my basement bedroom. This quilt kept me warm with physical heat but it also reminded of my grandmother and how she loved me (even though I couldn't see her during that time). Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab

Bethel Digital Lockdown: Slippers by KatieFriese

These are my slippers from Mongolia that I got in 2018 while on my missional gap year before coming to Bethel. These slippers kept my feet warm in my basement bedroom, but also helped me to recall what God had done in that year. By wearing these slippers, I was constantly reminded what God had done and what he would do in the future in these turbulent times. Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab

Bethel Digital Lockdown: Hubcaps by Jesse C-T

I have collected hubcaps for years, often spending my springs and summers searching roadside ditches and dilapidated junkyards. When everything closed for the pandemic, I had a surplus of time to search for these roadside relics. I found over 100 hubcaps this year. Pictured are a 1990 Acura Integra, a 1987-88 Ford T-bird, and a mid-80's Mercedes-Benz W126. Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
