Acorn
Acorn from a forest in Vienna. The oaks (Quercus) are a genus of plants in the beech family (Fagaceae). In ancient religions, myths and legends, the oak was a sacred tree. All parts of the oak are slightly poisonous because of the tannins they contain. The fruits (acorns) are rich in carbohydrates and proteins and were used for fattening pigs. Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
Acorn Mortar
Northern CA, Diablo This has been drilled using a rotating tool. The area has been populated for at least 11,000 years. Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
Blue Oak Acorns
Northern California native blue oaks don't replant themselves very well. If we don't plant them they may soon be impossible to start. We could loose these trees soon if we don't replant. Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
