Bitstream Compaction iCE40 - Bitstreams and Reconfiguration Time Measurements

<p>The HDF5 file contains data from an experiment concerning bitstream compaction for Lattice iCE40 FPGAs.</p> <p>Four projects were synthesized with two different toolchains and afterwards compacted in two different levels, resulting in 24 bitstreams. The creation of each bitstream was repeated 100 times to guard against variations caused by errors in the toolchains or by the compaction. No such errors occured and the configuration is the same for every repetition.</p> <p>The reconfiguration time for each of the 24 bitstreams was measured 10.000 times.</p> <p>Toolchains:</p> <ul> <li>Lattice iCEcube2</li> <li>Open Source Toolchain (Yosys, nextpnr, Project Icestorm)</li> </ul> <p>Projects:</p> <ul> <li>empty: Completely empty project, that uses no FPGA resources.</li> <li>b12: A project from the ITC&rsquo;99 benchmark suite.</li> <li>aes: A simple AES-128 encryption module.</li> <li>picosoc: RISC-V system on a chip</li> </ul> <p>Compaction levels:</p> <ul> <li>original: uncompacted bitstream</li> <li>builtin: compacted with two methods also available in iCEcube2</li> <li>compact: compacted with all five methods</li> </ul> <p>File structure:</p> <p>The data is organzied hierarchical. It is first split between bitstreams and measurements, then by toolchain, then by project and finally by compaction level.</p>

Biological experimental raw data from: The Incubascope : A simple, compact and large field of view microscope for long-term

<p>Optical imaging has rapidly evolved in the last decades. Sophisticated microscopes allowing optical sectioning for 3D imaging or sub-diffraction resolution are available. Due to price and maintenance issues, these microscopes are often shared between users in facilities. Consequently, long term access is often prohibited and does not allow to monitor slowly evolving biological systems or to validate new models like organoids. Preliminary coarse long-term data that do not require do acquisition of terabytes of high-resolution images are important as a first step. By contrast with expansive all-in-one commercialized stations standard microscopes equipped with incubator stages offer a more cost-effective solution despite imperfect long run atmosphere and temperature control. Here, we present the Incubascope, a custom-made compact microscope that fits into a table-top incubator. It is cheap and simple to implement user-friendly and yet provides high imaging performances. The system has a field of view of 5.5×8 mm2, a 3 µm resolution, a 10 frames/second acquisition rate, and is controlled with a Python-based graphical interface. We exemplify the capabilities of the Incubascope on biological applications such as the hatching of Artemia salina eggs, the growth of the slime mold Physarum polycephalum and of encapsulated spheroids of mammalian cells.</p>

A method for determining the origin of crude drugs derived from animals using MinION, a compact next-generation sequencer

<p><span>We evaluated whether MinION, an inexpensive, portable sequencer, can be applied for identifying the origin of crude drugs</span> <span>derived from animals</span><span>.</span><span> Standard and nonstandard crude drugs with different species of origin were examined. In addition, the standards mixed with nonstandard samples </span><span>were used</span><span>.</span><span> As a target gene, cytochrome c oxidase I was amplified and sequenced. The Fast mode results had a slightly lower match ratio than High-accuracy mode, but the animals of origin were correctly determined by BLAST for all samples. For antler velvet derived from <em>Rangifer tarandus</em>, even the sequences were aligned based on <em>Cervus elaphus</em>, the animal of origin was determined correctly. Minor contents could be detected from mixtures of two animals, if the mixtures contained at least 19:1 mtDNA when the coverage allele-fraction threshold was 0.05. By contrast, in Fast mode, two sequences could not be separated due to the low accuracy of the base-calling in each read. For field work, the species of origin of crude drugs could be identified, by only simple DNA extraction and library preparation. Therefore, MinION appears to be a convenient tool for identifying the origin of crude drugs derived from animals.</span></p>

Physical simulation of the influence of the original rock strength on the compaction characteristics of caving rock in longwall goaf

The compaction characteristics of broken rock in caving zone have a significant impact on the movement law of overburden and the prediction of surface subsidence. The mechanical properties of broken rock are clearly affected by the original rock strength of the roof. In this paper, the compaction mechanical behaviour of broken loose rock masses with different original rock strengths is studied by model testing. The results show that (1) the greater the original rock strength of broken rock is, the shorter the initial compaction stage, the earlier the transition compaction stage and stable compaction stage, and the lower the degree of compaction. (2) The initial deformation modulus and ultimate axial strain have a linear relationship with the original rock strength of broken rock. (3) Under different axial pressures, the deformation modulus increases with increasing original rock strength of the broken rock. The tangent modulus and axial stress change approximately linearly, the secant modulus and stress change linearly, and the tangent modulus and secant modulus have an exponential/hyperbolic relationship with strain.

<p><strong>Detecting anomalies in system logs with a compact convolutional transformer - Data</strong></p> <p>Preprocessed data and a pre-trained model for the Larisch, Vitay, Hamker (2022) publication.</p> <p>The <em>data</em> directory contains the Blue Gene/L data set, after tokenization, shuffling, and splitting in a training and test set (BGL_masked_Xtrain.npy and BGL_masked_Xtest.npy, respectively) and the corresponding labels.<br> Additionally, the BGL_masked_Xtest_uniq.npy and BGL_masked_Ytest_uniq.npy contains the test data, where samples from the training set are removed.</p> <p>The <em>model</em> directory contains a pre-trained compact convolutional transformer (CCT) model. The CCT is trained on the proposed BGL training data and uses a 4x4 convolutional kernel.</p>
