Data for sensitivity analysis of Hübler, M., M. Wiese, M. Braun and J. Damster (2023): The distributional effects of CO2 pricing at home and at the border on German income groups
<p>This dataset contains the output files used in the sensitivity analysis of the computable general equilibrium (CGE) model developed in Hübler et al. (2023). Each folder is labeled with the respective set of sector-level elasticity of substitution parameters considered in the analysis: elasticities between domestically produced versus imported goods (esubd), Armington elasticities (esubm) and elasticities between production factors (esubva).</p> <p>For each set of parameters, we generate 1000 random draws from a +-10 % interval around each of the sector-specific elasticities, resulting in 1000 sets of sectoral parameter values. Each .xlsx output file located in a dedicated subfolder corresponds to a model run with a specific set of parameter values. In addition, we conduct sensitivity analyses of two individual parameters, namely the CO2 target (CO2factor) considered in our policy scenarios and the elasticity of substitution in consumption (esub_cons).</p> <p>The sensitivity analysis is carried out using the <a href="https://snakemake.readthedocs.io/en/stable/">Snakeflow</a> workflow management system, and R code for generating parameter spaces and processing the output files is available on <a href="https://github.com/mariuslbraun/climate-trade-distribution-sensitivity">GitHub</a>.</p>
Indo-German Literature Dataset
<h1>Description</h1> <p>The IGLD is a dataset which is a mirror of the data utilised in the <a href="https://github.com/kalawinka/season" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">SEASON project</a> selected from OpenAlex. It contains Indo-German research articles for research of academic collaboration between 1990 and 2022.</p> <h1>Paper</h1> <p>Our paper describing our work in the SEASON project:</p> <p>Aasif Ahmad Mir, Nina Sminova, Jeyshankar Ramalingam, & Philipp Mayr (2024). The rise of Indo-German collaborative research: 1990-2022. <em>In Global Knowledge, Memory and Communication, 2024.</em> https://doi.org/10.1108/GKMC-09-2023-0328</p> <h1>Usage</h1> <h2>Description of Selection and Cleaning</h2> <p>The following search query: CU (“GERMANY” AND “INDIA”) was used to retrieve the data from WoS. The data were retrieved from the year 1990 till the 30th of November 2022. A total of 36,999 records were retrieved against the employed query. For the present dataset, we retrieved only articles identical to those from WoS.</p> <p>Our original dataset retrieved from WoS consisted of 36,999 entries. 33,319 entries possess a valid DOI, and 3,680 entries do not have a DOI. Therefore, we developed two approaches for retrieving desired data from the Openalex collection. Articles possessing a DOI were matched by DOI (dataset 1), and articles without DOI (dataset 2) were matched by article title and publication year.</p> <p>Afterwards, DOIs in dataset 1 were additionally compared to the DOIs from the original WoS dataset, all inconsistencies were removed.</p> <p>For dataset 2, authors were additionally checked. Authors’ surnames from dataset 2 and authors’ surnames from corresponding articles (matching by title and publication year) from the WoS dataset were compared. Only articles with matching publishing years, author surnames lists and titles were considered for the Openalex dataset. Following, dataset 1 and dataset 2 were combined into one final dataset (Openalex data).</p> <p>Additionally, all duplicates (by article ID) were removed from the Openalex data. In the final step, we checked if all entries contained both German and Indian affiliations. Some inconsistencies with the WoS data were observed: 5,584 entries, which have both Indian and German affiliations in WoS had only one of the indicated above affiliations in the Openalex. These entries were removed from the final dataset. Collection of German Stock Exchange Rules
<p><span>The STOCK EXCHANGE RULES collection contains rules and regulations from German securities exchanges starting in 1879, but with no claim to completeness. It builds on an initial collection by Andreas Fleckner (Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin) who kindly agreed to contribute it. The authors approached exchanges as well as some of the exchange supervisory authorities (‘Börsenaufsichtsbehörden’) and economic archives (‘Wirtschaftsarchive’) in the German states (‘Länder’). In some instances, the respective institutions were visited and documents were collected on site. Other rules and regulations were obtained from the law journal ‘Wertpapier-Mitteilungen’ by sifting through the tables of contents of the yearly volumes from 1985 to 2000 and from websites, notably the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine. </span></p>

Caravan-DE: Caravan extension Germany - German dataset for large-sample hydrology
<p><em>Caravan</em> is an open community dataset of meteorological forcing data, catchment attributes, and discharge data for catchments around the world:<a href="../record/6578598" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> https://zenodo.org/record/6578598</a>. <br>We have employed the published code to derive meteorological forcing data and catchment attributes from global data sources to extend Caravan with data for <strong>1887 catchments</strong> in Germany. The time series data are in <strong>daily resolution and span up to 70 years, from January 1951 to December 2020</strong>.</p> <p>Most of the catchments in Caravan-DE are also part of the CAMELS-DE dataset (<a href="https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.13837553" target="_blank" rel="noopener">10.5281/zenodo.13837553</a>, 1582 catchments). As CAMELS-DE relies on meteorological forcing data that is only available within the borders of Germany, catchments going beyond the German national borders had to be discarded. Caravan uses global data products for the meteorological forcing data and catchment attributes, which is why Caravan-DE includes these catchments that are partly located outside of Germany. As catchments in Caravan-DE and CAMELS-DE are identified by the same ID, the datasets can be used together.<br>Please refer to the CAMELS-DE paper (<a href="https://doi.org/10.5194/essd-2024-318">https://doi.org/10.5194/essd-2024-318</a>) for information about discharge data and the catchment geometries used for both Caravan-DE and CAMELS-DE.</p> <p>For the processing of the data the following guide was followed step by step: <a href="https://github.com/kratzert/Caravan/wiki/Extending-Caravan-with-new-basins">https://github.com/kratzert/Caravan/wiki/Extending-Caravan-with-new-basins</a></p> <h3> </h3> <h3>Disclaimer for discharge and water level data provided by the German federal state agencies:</h3> <p>english:<em><br>The state agencies do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of the discharge or water level data provided.
