Systematic Literature Review on Web Performance Testing
<p>Performance Testing is essential to ensure the quality and scalability of Web applications. A well-defined process may guide Performance Testing Engineer in conducting this task. We intended to enlighten some major inputs related to web performance testing. For this, we have formulated and executed a given protocol, according to the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) protocol in Software Engineering. So, 37 papers were selected/analyzed and we have extracted their most relevant contribution in order to answer our research questions. This analysis enabled us discovering preeminent performance testing profiles/roles, approaches, artifacts, methods, stages or phases and activity flows that have been reported in the literature. We believe that, despite those several studies that mapping performance test context, there are a few remarks in which a clarification might be needed, once there is no well-established process that comprises the whole activities mapped as well as established a relation with other studies. Therefore, this study intends to provide relevant input that one may establish a novel web performance testing process.</p>

Analysis of the concept of Digital Teaching Competence: a systematic literature review
<p>The technological revolution experienced in today's society has led educational organisations to assume the responsibility of training skills and abilities for this new context. Despite the high degree of complexity within technology-mediated ecosystems, the scientific literature seems to agree that the development of teachers' digital competence is identified to be a key variable of success. The definition of digital competence is however not clearly delineated. Moreover, direct and indirect interactions within this technology-mediated teaching and learning process are not clearly identified. The objective of this study is to define the concept of Digital Teaching Competence through a Systematic Literature Review published between 2017 and 2022, using the Scopus and Dialnet databases. A total of 316 references in English and Spanish were identified, of which 32 were selected for the final analysis, following the PRISMA protocol guidelines. The results confirm the existence of a high degree of conceptual fragmentation, as well as the lack of agreement on the terminology to be used. There is a need to reach a consensus on a taxonomy that facilitates, on one hand, the analysis of the elements that make up Digital Teaching Competence, and on the other hand, the improvement of the capacity to analyse specific contextual variables that contribute to enhancing technology-mediated teaching and learning processes.</p>

T3.1 Systematic literature review dataset
<p>This document presents the T3.1 Systematic Literature Review Dataset, which was collected for the VERITY project, to identify and categorise the <strong>evidenced-based approaches to tackle mistrust in science</strong>. This dataset includes reference <strong>information of 19 articles that were systematically selected </strong>by conducting the Preferred Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) search strategy.</p> <p><br>The PRISMA strategy was driven by a rigorously designed search string, which was devised following the <strong>Population, Intervention, Comparison, Outcome (PICO) guidelines</strong>. PICO guidelines worked as our framework for creating the necessary keywords associated with society (Population), and intervention studies (Intervention) measuring trust (Comparison) in science (Outcome). We searched three databases (PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Knowledge); the search string was adjusted to correspond to the specific requirements of each database.</p> <p>The <strong>search was completed on 03 May 2023 </strong>and was restricted to titles and abstracts, with no restrictions on publication date. The search strategy yielded a total of 2835 results. To proceed with PRISMA, these results were uploaded on CADIMA (www.cadima.info), an open-access web tool for conducting systematic literature reviews (see Kohl et al., 2018). After removing duplicates, 2097 studies remained for title and abstract screening. To identify the studies that used an intervention (or manipulation) to increase trust in science, title and abstract screening was based on the following pre-defined criteria:</p> <ol> <li>abstract written in a language that can be understood by reviewers (English or Greek)</li> <li>involve trust of any kind</li> <li>include an intervention (either measuring trust pre- vs. post-intervention or between an experimental vs. control group)</li> <li>original piece of research (present primary data)</li> <li>focus on science.</li> </ol> <p>Through title and abstract screening, 1846 records were excluded. Respectively, 251 records followed to the next PRISMA phase, that of full-text screening. Full-text screening was guided by the following three criteria:</p> <ol> <li>investigation of people's trust in science</li> <li>investigation of a manipulation designed to influence people's (mis)trust</li> <li>typically developed and healthy (control) sample.</li> </ol> <p>The reasons of these adjustments were twofold: first, full-text screening requires stricter criteria that reflect the objectives of the task, and second, some pre-set exclusion options are already provided by CADIMA (full-text not-available/assessable, duplicate, no-primary data presented). Following these criteria, full-text screening excluded 232 records. As such, <strong>19 studies were identified that were eligible for the purpose of this report</strong> of identifying and categorising strategies, methods, and tools that intervene on societal (mis)trust in science. </p>
Data extraction form - A Systematic Literature Review on Prioritizing Software Test Cases using Markov Chains
<p>A data extraction form was created to gather all relevant data from the identified studies and manage the selection process in this systematic literature review. Some of the main information presented in this form was followed by a protocol, identifier (id) for each returned study, bibliographic reference, and answers to research questions. This catalog helps us in the data extraction and synthesis procedures and may be used by potentially interested, for example, for updating or replication. </p>
A comparison of citation sources for reference and citations based search in systematic literature reviews
<p>Context: In software engineering, snowball sampling has been used as a supplementary and primary search strategy. The current guidelines recommend the use of Google Scholar (GS) for snowball sampling. However, the use of GS presents several challenges when using it as a source for citations and references.</p> <p>Objective: To compare the effectiveness and usefulness of two leading citation databases (GS and Scopus) for use in snowball sampling search.Method: We relied on a published study that has used snowball sampling as a search strategy and GS as the citation source. We used its primary studies to compute precision and recall for Scopus.</p> <p>Results: In this particular case, Scopus was highly effective with 95% recall and had better precision of 5.1%compared to GS’s 2.8%. On average, one would read 15 extra papers in GS than Scopus to identify an additional relevant paper. Moreover, Scopus supports batch downloading of both citations to a paper and the papers’ references, has better quality metadata, and does better source filtering.</p> <p>Conclusion: This study suggests that Scopus seems to be more effective and useful for snowball sampling than GS for systematic secondary studies attempting to identify peer-reviewed literature.</p>
