The author appears to be a younger contemporary of Dawwânî, and of <em>Mîr </em><em>Ṣadr al-dîn</em> (السيد السند) , to whose second Ḥâshiyah he makes frequent reference.</p> <p>Imperfect at the end. The right corner of fol. 1, with the first words of the text, is torn away.</p> <p>Begins: ن سيد المحققين س الشريف لما راى ان المتعارف فى الخطب .</p> <p>II. Foll. 82-108. The first portion of MÎRAK’S شرح حكمة العين , ending in the fourth بحث of the first مقالة . Marginal notes.</p> <p>Written in a minute but clear Nasta’liḳ. Much injured by insects and by damp.</p> <p>Both pieces bear the seal of ‘Abd al-raḥmân b. Annotation to <em>Jurjânî’s</em> Glosses on <em>Ḳu</em><em>ṭb al-dîn’s</em> Commentary on The مطالع الانوار (see no. 525). It appears from the more modern inscription, حاشية عبدالحكيم , and from the dedication of the work to Shâhjahân, that the author is ‘Abd al-ḥakîm b. Shams al-dîn SIYÂLKÛTÎ (d. soon after A.H. 1060).</p> <p>The preface, which is written on the title-page,</p> <p>Begins:يا من لا يحوم حول سرادقات ذاته الانظار.</p> <p>The first annotation is (fol. 1<em>v</em>.):قال شريف زمانه ... الفياض الوهاب بيانا لما هو المراد من لفظ الفياض فى عبارة الشارح الخ. The copy was left unfinished.</p> <p>II.Foll.82-103. A fragment of Glosses on <em>Dawwânî’s</em> Commentary on العقائد العضدية (see no.455). These glosses were also written by SIYÂLKÛTÎ.</p> <p>Extracts from them are to be found on the margin of no. 466.</p> <p>Begins:برهان قوله فكونه غير ممكن.</p> <p>Defects after foll. 90, 91, and 101.Foll. 102 and 103 give the conclusion of the work.</p> <p>Written in Nasta’liḳ.</p> <p> </p>
