Silver and gold belt fragment with an inscription from Vrbljani near Ključ, Bosnia. 8th century. Data were collected as part of a joint research project between GDH and the Association for the Digitization and Informatisation of Cultural Heritage (DIGI.BA) in Sarajevo, in full collaboration with the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sarajevo. XFP-054 Jadite Biface Fragment, Sanak Island, AK XFP-054 is an early village in a dune area on the south side of Sanak Island, Alaska. The dune is deflating, leaving behind dozens of well-preserved houses and site features. It clearly demonstrates the village organization of this time period between 2200 and 1600 BCE. This is the time of the early occupation of Hot Springs Village on the Alaska Peninsula. These artifacts were scanned with either a Faro Edge Arm or a Minolta Vivid 9i. Processed in Geomagic or Polyworks. 2-8 photos were used for texture in Geomagic Wrap. "Piquera" lamp fragment from Calatrava la Vieja, Castilla-La Mancha, Spain. Taifa period (11th century). This artifact was found in the 2018 excavations in the south-east sector of the medina, next to the western wall of the alcázar. This kind of lamps ("qandil" or "misbah" in arabic),inheriting of the roman lamps ("lucernas"), were handle lamps that operated by burning vegetable oils, mainly used for domestic illumination. These elements were part of the trousseau of the medieval islamic houses, and in addition to their functional value had an outstanding symbolic value, as it represented the triumph of light over darkness and the faith of the believer.
