Year 2018, continuous measurements, every 15 minutes, were made of stage and water temperature in a small headwater stream, Bear Meadow Brook , Cedar Swamp, Reading MA, draining a mainly wetland catchment (49% wetland + 36% wetland). Discharge is determined from stage using discharge vs stage regressions.

PIE LTER, Hach, OTT RLS measurements of water column depth at 15 minute intervals in the lower Plum Island Sound off the Ipswich Bay Yacht Club pier, Ipswich, MA, year 2020.
Measurements of water column depth at 15 minute intervals in Plum Island Sound at the Ipswich Bay Yacht Club, for year 2020. OTT radar level sensor (RLS) installed September 20, 2011 out of the water under the concrete pad on the Ipswich Bay Yacht Club pier, Ipswich, MA. RLS was mounted so that continuous year round measurements can be conducted without the concern of ice flows damaging the sensor.
PIE LTER time series of methane, CO2 and N2O ebullition measurements at four headwater streams in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
Methane ebullition was monitored at four headwater streams during 2018 and 2019. Stationary bubble traps were deployed from approximately May through October. CC and SB were monitored in 2018 and 2019, while DB and CB were only monitored in 2019. 12 traps were deployed at CC, SB, and DB, and 9 traps were deployed at CB. The concentration measured in the emitted gas was multiplied by the volume measured in a trap to calculated the total methane flux via ebullition. The traps were visited at least once weekly. The mean, median, minimum, and maximum rate of ebullition across all traps at a site over a two week period are listed here. Relevant publications: Robison, A.L. PIE LTER, Year 2020, 15 minute interval, water quality measurements of water column temperature, salinity, oxygen, and depth near the mouth of Plum Island Sound, Massachusetts
Year 2020, 15 minute measurements of water column temperature, salinity, oxygen and depth in Plum Island Sound at the Ipswich Bay Yacht Club, Ipswich, MA. There were sifgnificant datalogger power, radio telecommunication and sonde cabling corrosion issues during the Covid-19 Spring - Fall of 2020. There are many missing data time periods due to issues and some limited field work capabilities due to Covid working restrictions.
PIE LTER herbivory measurement associated with marsh sites used in space for time sea level rise study, Rowley, MA.
This dataset contains aggregated observations of predation and herbivory on tethered bait in each quadrat of sites around the Rowley River and the south side of Sawyer Island at the Plum Island LTER. Measurements consist of the consumption status of tethered squid or kelp pieces as a measure of energy transfer between trophic levels. Pieces were left in the field for five days and observers recorded the status of bait over time as either entirely missing, partially consumed, having scrape marks, or fully intact. These measurements can be used to calculate consumption rates (i.e. energy transfer) over time. Notes include fields discussing any additional observations - e.g., if a stick was found missing.
PIE LTER eddy flux measurements during 2018 from second high marsh site (Spartina patens/short Spartina alterniflora) Tall Tower off Nelson Island Creek, Rowley, Massachusetts
We deployed an eddy covariance system to measure ecosystem-atmosphere exchange of CO2 above a high marsh system (Spartina patens, short Spartina alterniflora) located on the Parker River Wildlife Refuge in marshes of Plum Island Sound, Rowley MA. The system is located near a higher elevation rock outcroppingprotected area which allows the tower set up to remain during the Winter as it is protected from ice flows. The data represents CO2 exchange for all 12 months of 2018.
