Attic Black-Figure Lekythos(ANU Classics Museum)
**Attic Black-Figure Lekythos - Digital Reconstruction** Visit the [ANU Classics Museum website](https://slll.cass.anu.edu.au/classics-museum/catalogue/objects/attic-black-figure-lekythos-196202) to learn more about this beautiful lekythos! We had a photogrammetry session at the ANU Classics Museum in one of the courses I'm taking this semester. But of course, I couldn't resist modeling the artifacts from scratch based on photo references as well. The modeling for the base mesh and UV unwrapping were done using Autodesk Maya 2020. Then I used Marmoset Toolbag 3 to bake the Ambient Occlusion (AO) map. I hand-painted around 95% of the colours and patterns using Adobe Photoshop. I also manually traced Herakles fighting the Amazons scene on the lekythos' body into vectors in Adobe Illustrator and most of wear and tear were added using Substance Painter. French Classical Drama: Topics and Subgenres
<p>This dataset consists of a table describing 5841 samples from French Classical drama, their subgenre, form and other metadata, as well as the scores of 60 different topics. Each topic is illustrated in the table only through its three most frequent words. </p> <p>The dataset was created for and used in the following paper: Schöch, Christof. “Topic Modeling Genre: An Exploration of French Classical and Enlightenment Drama”, Digital Humanities Quarterly 11, no. 2 (2017): §1-53. <a href="http://www.digitalhumanities.org/dhq/vol/11/2/000291/000291.html">http://www.digitalhumanities.org/dhq/vol/11/2/000291/000291.html</a>. </p> <p>From the paper: "The collection of plays used for the research presented here is a subset of the Théâtre classique collection, defined by the following criteria: Only plays from the period between 1630 and 1789 were included, because the collection contains only a comparatively small number of plays for the decades before and after these dates. Plays have only been included if they have between three and five acts, effectively excluding a certain number of one-act plays, in order for the plays to have a similar length and a comparable plot structure. Finally, all the plays included belong to one of the following subgenres: comedy, tragedy or tragicomedy. For most of the other relevant genres, only a relatively small number of examples is available. These criteria resulted in a collection of 391 plays (150 comedies, 189 tragedies, and 52 tragicomedies in verse or in prose), corresponding to approximately 5.6 million word tokens or 31 MB of plain text. Semi-classical origin of the extreme magnetoresistance in PtSn4
<p><strong><span>The so-called “extreme magnetoresistance” (XMR) found in few conductors poses interesting conceptual challenges which address needs in technology. In contrast to the more common XMR in semi-metals, PtSn<sub>4</sub> stands out as a rare example of a high carrier density multi-band metal exhibiting XMR, sparking an active debate about its microscopic origin. Here we report a sharp sensitivity of its XMR upon the field angle, with an almost complete collapse only for one specific current and field direction (B\\b, I\\a). Corroborated by band-structure calculations, we identify a singular open orbit on one of its Fermi surface sheets as the origin of this collapse. This remarkably switchable XMR resolves the puzzle in PtSn<sub>4</sub> as a semi-classical effect of an ultra-pure, compensated carrier metal. It further showcases the importance of Ockham’s razor in uncommon magnetotransport phenomena and demonstrates the remarkable physical properties conventional metals can exhibit given they are superbly clean. </span></strong></p>
Data from: The classical and alternative circulating renin-angiotensin system in normal dogs and dogs with stage B1 and B2 myxomatous mitral valve disease
<p>The behavior of the comprehensive circulating renin‐angiotensin system (RAS) in dogs with myxomatous mitral valve disease (MMVD) before the onset of congestive heart failure remains largely unexplored.</p> <p>Hypothesis/Objectives: The classical and alternative RAS activity and aldosterone concentrations will be significantly higher in dogs with American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) stage B2 MMVD compared to normal dogs and dogs with ACVIM stage B1 MMVD.</p> <p>Animals: One hundred seventeen client‐owned dogs (normal = 60; B1 = 31; B2 = 26).</p> <p>Methods: Prospective observational study. Angiotensin peptides (AP) and aldosterone concentrations were measured using liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry. Angiotensin converting enzymes 1 and 2 (ACE, ACE2) and renin activity surrogates were calculated from AP concentrations. Equilibrium dialysis (ED) and immediate protease inhibition (PI) methods of AP quantification were compared in 14 healthy dogs.</p> <p>Results: Core RAS activity and aldosterone concentrations did not differ among the 3 groups. However, the balance between the alternative and classical RAS differed, with dogs with stage B2 MMVD having significantly higher ACE2 activity surrogate (ACE2surr) when compared to normal dogs (adjusted P = .02; ratio of medians for ACE2surr [B2:normal], 1.89; 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.4‐2.6). The ED and PI methods of AP quantification were highly correlated (AngI, r = .9, P < .0001; AngII, r = .8, P = .001).</p> <p>Conclusions and Clinical Importance: Circulating alternative RAS activity, specifically the surrogate measure of ACE2 activity, was increased in dogs with stage B2 MMVD as compared to normal dogs. Equilibrium dialysis results are analogous to immediate protease inhibition in dogs.</p>

Data from: Fossils indicate marine dispersal in osteoglossid fishes, a classic example of continental vicariance
<p>The separation of closely-related terrestrial or freshwater species by vast marine barriers represents a biogeographic riddle. Such cases can provide evidence for vicariance, a process whereby ancient geological events like continental rifting divided ancestral geographic ranges. With an evolutionary history extending tens of millions of years, freshwater ecology, and distribution encompassing widely separated southern landmasses, osteoglossid bonytongue fishes are a textbook case of vicariance attributed to Mesozoic fragmentation of the Gondwanan supercontinent. Largely overlooked fossils complicate the clean narrative invoked for extant species by recording occurrences on additional continents and in marine settings. Here we present a new total-evidence hypothesis for bonytongue fishes combined with quantitative models of range evolution and show that the last common ancestor of extant osteoglossids was likely marine, and that the group colonized freshwater settings at least four times when both extant and extinct lineages are considered. The correspondence between extant osteoglossid relationships and patterns of continental fragmentation therefore represents a striking example of biogeographic pseudocongruence. Contrary to arguments against vicariance hypotheses that rely only on temporal or phylogenetic evidence, these results provide direct palaeontological support for enhanced dispersal ability early in the history of a group with widely separated distributions in the modern day.</p>

<p>The three data sets contain the raw experiment data, parsed values and basic reports for the three parts of the thesis. For each experiment there are two directories. The first directory contains the raw data of all experiment runs. The code directories and benchmark files have been removed to avoid duplication and save space. The second directory (*-eval) contains "properties" file with all parsed values and an HTML report.</p>

This is true for all black and gray shades as well as the color shades. Charts editions, which are manufactured after November 2014 have been and will be produced with the new colorants used within our coating process.</p> <p>The production date of a ColorChecker SG and a ColorChecker Classic chart (A4 or LTR) is printed on the back side.
