Excel mapping tools for 2019 zoonoses data reporting

The main objective of the mapping tools is to provide a simple and useable platform for Member states and other reporting countries to map their country-specific standard terminology to that used by EFSA and to enable the production of an XML file for the submission of sample or aggregated-based zoonoses monitoring data via the Data Collection Framework (DCF).

The catalogues and the specific hierarchy of each data model (AMR, ESBL, PRV, FBO, POP, DST and SSD2 for Echinococcus multilocularis) are already inserted into each of the specific mapping tool. Specific Excel mapping tools correspond to each of the seven data models are available.

You can choose between the dynamic or the manual version of the tool for the first six data models.

The Emulti_SSD2_tool can be used to report sample-based results of Echinococcus multilocularis under the Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2018/772.

Implementation of the wildlife monitoring standard on excel

Enetwild consortium developed a data standard on wildlife monitoring data to aggregate raw data such as occurrences, drive hunt hunting bags, distance sampling data, or aggregated or estimated data such as density estimates, summarized hunting bags, probability of presence. This standard is based on the Darwin Core standard, using the Event core, the Occurrence extension, the extended measurement or fact extension. We proposed to extend the measurement or fact extension to allow them to be nested among themselves for recording confidence intervals and precision information. We offer the possibility to nest occurrences within each other as well. We propose controlled vocabularies in relation to statistical information, in both data and metadata. In addition to a single metadata sheet, this Excel file proposes two ways to enter a dataset. The first option is to record events, occurrences, and measurements in different sheets, which is similar to the option proposed by GBIF in its Integrated Publishing Toolkit. The second option is to record events, occurrences and measurements in a single sheet (data_AllInOne) with the help of conditional formatting, working on the most recent version of Excel.

This is in line with the EFSA data model harmonisation under the SIGMA project.

Supplement (interactive Excel tool) to MAGIC Deliverable 6.4 'Intervention directed towards environmental protection: Biodiversity conservation on agricultural land'

Interactive Excel data sheets to analyse potential interventions (i.e. changes in land use type and intensity) in the Dutch dairy production system towards conserving biodiversity. The tool uses the Dutch dairy sector as a case study and represents the current land use by dairy farmers in the Netherlands. The measures applied result in different landscapes that satisfy different biodiversity targets. At the same time, the tool measures the (negative) impact on food production.

This interactive Excel tool is a supplement to: Kok A., Ripoll Bosch R., de Olde E.M., Muscat A., de Boer I.J.M. Data from: Fast formation of a supramolecular ion gel/solvoplastic elastomer with excellent stretchability

This study describes a simple yet efficient approach for the preparation of an ionic gel that is also elastomeric in its solid state bulk form. A series of poly(2-(Diethylamino)ethyl methacrylate-co-Lauryl methacrylate) P(DMAEMA-co-LMA) copolymer were synthesized first by radical polymerization. Quaternization of the PDMAEMA component in THF enables the formation of supramolecular network, gave rise to an ion gel. An elastomer with an elongation at break of over 600 % was obtained from the gel. The elastomer, connected by supramolecular ionic crosslinks, is solvoplastic in certain solvent. The simple yet efficient approach of the formation of ion-gel and the dried elastomer allows fast preparation of both gel-like and solid-state elastic materials for various applications where recyclability are required.
