Raw data for the article: Cytokine storm and severe hepatitis in pregnancy due to herpes simplex virus 2

<p><strong>Case presentation:&nbsp;</strong>A pregnant woman developed hepatitis due to a herpes simplex virus 2 primary infection with a severe systemic inflammatory response. Treatment with acyclovir and human immunoglobulin was given and both mother and baby survived.</p> <p><strong>Purpose:&nbsp;</strong>We provide the first description of the inflammatory response associated with herpetic hepatitis in pregnancy.</p>
