Lewis chessman - 3d printable
This model is based on the Lewis Chessmen on display in the British Museum. Model made using Nomad Sculpt on the ipad and finished in Zbrush and Substance Painter. I used images of various versions of this chess piece for reference and as such it is not an exact replica (no scan data used) but hopefully reasonably accurate. I have annotated the model - click on the numbers when viewing the model and find out more about the origin of these objects ....... and find out about the link between the Lewis Chessmen and Noggin the Nog! I have included an STL file for 3d printing - choose 'additional file' when downloading. Don't worry if some of the files are labelled 'Rook' - they should have been labelled 'knight'. The license for this is 'creative commons, not commercial, sharealike'. This means you can use it for your own use but you cannot sell it, printed or in digital form.
