A dataset of long-term consistency values of resting-state fMRI connectivity maps in a single individual derived at multiple sites and vendors using the Canadian Dementia Imaging Protocol

<p>This dataset contains preprocessed resting state fMRI data (.nii.gz) with accompanying confound files (.tsv) from the Single Individual volunteer for Multiple Observations across Networks (SIMON; http://fcon_1000.projects.nitrc.org/indi/retro/SIMON.html) dataset that has been minimally preprocessed using the NeuroImaging Analysis Kit (NIAK; http://niak.simexp-lab.org/build/html/PREPROCESSING.html). Preprocessing steps included:&nbsp; (1) Slice timing correction; (2) Estimation of rigid-body motion in fMRI runs, both within- and between sessions; (3) Linear or non-linear coregistration of the structural scan in stereotaxic space; (4) Individual coregistration between structural and functional scans; (5) Resampling of functional scans in stereotaxic space. Confound files (.tsv) have been included for purposes of scrubbing and regression of confounds using NIAK or other analysis software, allowing for further processing without conflicts.</p>

A long-term monthly dataset of cloud fraction over the Arctic based on multiple satellite products using cumulative distribution function matching and Bayesian maximum entropy

<p>The low accuracy of satellite Cloud fraction (CF) over the Arctic seriously restricts accurate assessment of regional and global radiant energy balance under the changing climate. Previous studies have reported that not a single satellite CF product could satisfy the needs of accuracy and spatio-temporal coverage simultaneously for long-term applications over the Arctic. Merging multiple CF products with complementary properties is an effective way to produce more spatiotemporally complete and accurate CF data record. This study proposed a spatiotemporal statistical data fusion framework based on cumulative distribution function (CDF) matching and Bayesian maximum entropy (BME) method to produce a syncretic 1&deg;&times;1&deg; CF dataset in the Arctic during 2000-2020. The original datasets contain CF from MOD08/MYD08, CERES-SSF Terra/Aqua, CLARA-A2 AM/PM, PATMOS-x AM/PM, ISCCP-H AM/PM. The fused CF product&nbsp;is more consistent with the active satellite data GEWEX-CALIPSO and the ground-based observation data CRU TS4.05.</p>

<p>The spreadsheets aim at collecting general information and specific data (e.g., crop yield, soil properties and weather) from long-term field experiments (LTE's) that are used to calibrate and validate ARMOSA model for ARTEMIS project - WP3 task 3.1 activity. Particularly, information reported will be useful for providing an overview of the distribution of agro-ecological systems, management strategies, field measures, and weather data available, useful to run ARMOSA model under current and future climate change scenarios.</p>

Data from: Long-term monitoring dataset of fish assemblages impinged at nuclear power plants in northern Taiwan

The long-term species diversity patterns in marine fish communities are garnering increasing attention from ecologists and conservation biologists. However, current databases on quantitative abundance information lack consistent long-term time series, which are particularly important in exploring the possible underlying mechanism of community changes and evaluating the effectiveness of biodiversity conservation measures. Here we describe an impinged fish assemblage dataset containing 1, 283, 707 individuals from 439 taxa. Once a month over 19 years (1987–1990 and 2000–2014), we systematically collected the fish killed by impingement upon cooling water intake screens at two nuclear power plants on the northern coast of Taiwan. Because impingement surveys have low sampling errors and can be carried out over many years, they serve as an ideal sampling tool for monitoring how fish diversity and community structure vary over an extended period of time.

<p>This record contains raw data related to article &ldquo;Linac-based stereotactic body radiation therapy for low and intermediate-risk prostate cancer : Long-term results and factors predictive for outcome and toxicity&quot;</p> <p><strong>Introduction:&nbsp;</strong>Stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) is considered an effective and safe treatment in patients with low- and intermediate-risk prostate cancer (PC). However, due to a lack of long-term follow-up and late toxicity data, this treatment is not universally accepted. The present study aimed to evaluate outcome and early and late toxicity in a cohort of patients with low- and intermediate-risk PC treated prospectively with linear accelerator (linac)-based SBRT.</p> <p><strong>Patients and methods:&nbsp;</strong>Patients with low- or intermediate-risk (NCCN criteria) PC were included. All patients received linac-based SBRT to 35 Gy in 5 fractions delivered on alternate days. Endpoints were toxicity, biochemical relapse-free survival (BRFS), metastatic progression-free survival (mPFS), and overall survival (OS).</p> <p><strong>Results:&nbsp;</strong>From 2012 to 2018, 178 patients were treated. Median baseline prostate-specific antigen (iPSA) was 6.37 ng/ml (range 1.78-20). Previous transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) was present in 23 (12.9%) patients. Median follow-up was 58.9 months (range 9.7-89.9). BRFS rates at 1, 3, and 5 years were 98.3 (95% confidence interval, CI, 94.7-99.4%), 94.4 (95%CI 89.4-97), and 91.6% (95%CI 85.4-95.2), respectively. In univariate analysis, performance status (PS), iPSA, and nadir PSA (nPSA) were correlated with BRFS. In multivariable analysis iPSA and nPSA remained significant. BRFS rates at 5 years were 94.9% (95%CI 86.8-98) for International Society of Urological Pathology (ISUP) grade group 1, 93.2% (95%CI 80.5-97.7) for ISUP group 2, and 74.8% (95%CI 47.1-89.5) for ISUP group 3. At 1, 3, and 5 years, mPFS rates were 98.8 (95%CI 95.5-99.7), 96.2 (95%CI 91.9-98.3), and 92.9% (95%CI 87.2-96.2), respectively; OS rates were 100, 97.2 (95%CI 92.9-98.9), and 95.1% (95%CI 90-97.6), respectively. One (0.56%) case of grade 3 acute genitourinary (GU), one case of acute gastrointestinal (GI), and one case of grade 3 late GU toxicity were observed. GI toxicity positively correlated with prostate volume.</p> <p><strong>Conclusion:&nbsp;</strong>At long-term follow-up, linac-based SBRT continues to be a valid option for the management localized PC. Biochemical control remains high at 5 years, albeit with some concerns regarding the optimal schedule for unfavorable intermediate-risk PC. Considering the excellent prognosis, patient selection is crucial for prevention of severe late toxicity.</p>

<p>This record contains data related to article &quot;Hypofractionated Whole Breast Irradiation and Simultaneous Integrated Boost in Large-breasted Patients: Long-term Toxicity and Cosmesis&quot;</p> <p>Abstract</p> <p><strong>Introduction:&nbsp;</strong>The purpose of this study was to evaluate the impact of breast size on long-term toxicity and cosmesis in patients with breast cancer treated with hypofractionated simultaneous integrated boost (SIB) using volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT).</p> <p><strong>Patients and methods:&nbsp;</strong>Patients with early stage breast cancer were treated with 3-week hypofractionated SIB-VMAT to the whole breast (40.5 Gy) and tumor bed (48 Gy). Two cohorts were identified: small/medium- (&lt; 1000 cm<sup>3</sup>) and large- (&gt; 1000 cm<sup>3</sup>) breasted patients. Acute and late (at 2 and 5 years) skin toxicity and cosmetic data were analyzed. Univariate and multivariate analysis evaluated associations between toxicity and dosimetric/anatomical variables.</p> <p><strong>Results:&nbsp;</strong>From August 2010 to March 2017, a total of 1160 patients were treated; 831 had at least 2 years of follow-up and were analyzed. Treated skin area (TSA) receiving at least 20 Gy &gt; 400 cm<sup>2</sup>&nbsp;and V<sub>105% of Boost</sub>&nbsp;&gt; 5 cm<sup>3</sup>&nbsp;were significant predictors for acute skin toxicity. Multivariate analysis at 2 years was significant for boost volume &gt; 70 cm<sup>3</sup>, TSA &gt; 400 cm<sup>2</sup>, and breast size &gt; 1500 cm<sup>3</sup>. At 5 year analysis (352 patients), none of the analyzed variables was significant. For cosmetic outcome, only the breast size (&gt; 1000 cm<sup>3</sup>) and the boost size &gt; 70 cm<sup>3</sup>&nbsp;at 2 and 5 years, respectively, confirmed significance.</p> <p><strong>Conclusions:&nbsp;</strong>The TSA &gt; 400 cm<sup>2</sup>&nbsp;resulted as a significant predictor of both acute and late skin toxicity at 2 years; however, at 5 years, no breast size or dosimetric parameter suggested indications for increased toxicity. A worse cosmetic outcome was recorded at the 2-year follow up for large breasts, but was not confirmed at the 5-year follow-up. These long-term data suggest that hypofractionated SIB-VMAT is a viable modality also in large-breasted patients.</p>

<p>This record contains data related to article &quot;Long-term outcomes after pancreatoduodenectomy for ampullary cancer: The influence of the histological subtypes and comparison with the other periampullary neoplasms&quot;</p> <p><strong>Background. </strong>Ampullary carcinoma (AC) is histologically classified as intestinal (In-AC), pancreaticobiliary (Pb-AC) or mixed-AC. The prognostic role of AC subtypes has been debated and remains unclear. The aims of this study were to evaluate outcomes after pancreatoduodenectomy (PD) for each subtype of AC and to compare these with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma [PDAC] and distal cholangiocarcinoma [DCC].</p> <p><strong>Methods. </strong>PDs performed for AC between 2010-2018 were retrospectively evaluated. Histological subtype was obtained for all patients. One-year, 3-year and 5-year disease-free-survival (DFS) and overall survival (OS) rates were calculated. Kaplan-Meier survival analysis was performed to compare Pb-AC, In-AC and mixed-AC. Comparison with PDs performed for PDAC and DCC during the same period was also performed.</p> <p><strong>Results. </strong>A total of 97 patients undergoing PD for AC were evaluated: 34 (35.1%) In-AC, 54 (55.7%) Pb-AC and 9 mixed-AC (9.3%). DFS and OS rates for Pb-AC were significantly lower compared to In-AC (p&lt;0.05 and p&lt;0.01), but similar to mixed-AC (p=0.3 and p=0.4). Adjuvant therapy was not associated with increased survival, regardless of the histological subtype (p&gt;0.05). During the same period, 337 and 53 PDs for PDAC and DCC, respectively, were performed. In-AC was associated with significantly better outcomes compared to PDAC and DCC (p&lt;0.001); DFS and OS rates for Pb-AC and mixed AC were significantly higher compared to PDAC (p&lt;0.001), but similar to DCC (p&gt;0.05).</p> <p><strong>Conclusions. </strong>Pb-AC has significantly worse survival compared to In-AC. Moreover, mixed-AC should be considered as Pb-AC. Pb-AC and mixed-AC seem to have better prognosis compared to PDAC, but similar to DCC.</p>

<p>This record contains raw data related to article &quot;Long-Term Follow-Up of Patients with Metastatic Epidural Spinal Cord Compression from Solid Tumors Submitted for Surgery Followed by Radiation Therapy&quot;</p> <p>OBJECTIVE:</p> <p>To evaluate the outcome of patients with epidural spinal cord compression from different solid tumors treated with a combined approach, surgery plus radiotherapy (RT), with a follow-up longer than 10 years.</p> <p>METHODS:</p> <p>Ninety-seven patients treated between 2002 and 2009 were included. Surgical treatment was performed in patients with good performance status, limited metastatic disease, life expectancy longer than 3 months, and progressive neurologic deficit and/or intractable pain. RT was performed delivering a median total dose of 30 Gy in 10 fractions. Clinical outcome was evaluated using the modified visual analog scale for pain, the Frankel scale for neurologic deficit, and magnetic resonance imaging before treatment, after treatment, and every 3 months thereafter.</p> <p>RESULTS:</p> <p>Palliative decompression was performed in 27% of patients, tumor curettage (debulking) was performed in 51%, and total vertebrectomy was performed in 22%, followed by RT in 78% of cases. Pain remission was obtained in 98% of patients, and recovery of neurologic function was obtained in 51%. The median follow-up time was 135 months (range, 96-209 months). The 5- and 10-year local control rates were 82.8% and 82.8%, respectively. The median and 5- and 10-year progression-free survival rates were 12 months, 16.9%, and 11.3%, respectively; the median and 5- and 10-year overall survival rates were 18 months, 21.3%, and 12%, respectively. On univariate and multivariate analysis, factors recorded as conditioning survival were the performance status and the presence of other metastases at the time of vertebral treatment (P &lt; 0.01).</p> <p>CONCLUSIONS:</p> <p>Our update confirmed that surgery plus RT is a safe and feasible treatment with limited morbidity. In selected patients with favorable prognostic factors, the combined treatment may significantly impact on survival.</p>
