Travel times of wide-angle seismic refraction profile OBS2020-1 at the northern continental margin of South China Sea

The dataset contains travel times (including the primary and secondary phases) of the OBS2020-1 profile with 11 OBS stations at the northern continental margin of SCS.

Data for the manuscript 'The Influence of Turbulent Mixing on the Subsurface Chlorophyll Maximum Layer in the Northern South China Sea'

Data include CTD, microstructure, nutrient, and chlorophyll data for two transects in the Northern South China Sea.

Data for the manuscript 'Biological response to the interaction of a mesoscale eddy and the river plume in the northern South China Sea'

Satellite data includes daily sea-level anomaly from AVISO, daily surface chlorophyll a data from OC-CCI and sea surface salinity obtained from SMAP. Model simulated daily current, temperature, salinity, chlorophyll and nitrate concentration for three experiments (control, case1 and case2) from our coupled physical-biological model of the South China Sea . For chlorophyll and nitrate concentration, the dataset also includes the 16-day averaged budget terms along section S1. The modeled lagrangian particl tracking data is also avaiable.

Propagation of Shoaling Internal Solitary Waves in the Northern South China Sea: Satellite Investigation and Theoretical Interpretation

The dataset used to produce the figures in the manuscript. All the data are in MATLAB file format.

Fig1.mat: time-distance plot of the red visible spectrum shown in Figure 1.

Fig2.mat: wave speed as a function of distance along the distance.

Fig3.mat: satellite images and wave speed curves shown in Figure 3.

Physical oceanography, biotic and abiotic carbon data in the deep sea on the northern slope of the South China Sea in June 2015

The datasets are used for the study of the effects of mesoscale eddies on biological carbon pumps in deep sea water in the northern South China Sea. Thus the physical oceanography, biotic and abiotic carbon data are included in the datasets.

Data from: Holocene Sediment Provenance Evolution in the Northern South China Sea Inferred from Detrital Zircon Geochronology

The supporting information here provides the AMS 14C geochronological data of core sediments (Table S1) and LA-ICP-SF-MS U-Pb results of detrital zircon grains (Table S2) within this study.
