Belsay (largely a medieval landscape)
Full details: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1001042 Zoom in to see the detail.... Belsay Hall lies 23km north-west of Newcastle upon Tyne, to the south and west of the A696, Ponteland to Jedburgh road, and situated in a rural stretch of Northumberland. Belsay village lines the east side of the A696 with the park abutting the road's west side. This forms the wooded north-east corner of the park which extends south-westwards to the B6309. Within the 275ha park, Raven's Heugh and Bantam Hill are prominent landmarks affording long views out over the Blyth Valley to the east and to the north-west towards the Cheviot Hills. These higher areas contrast with the relatively flat, lower-lying areas extending eastwards from Belsay Castle and Belsay Hall to Belsay village. The park, incorporating these contrasting zones of high and low-lying land, is cut by two water courses, the Coal Burn on its northern boundary and Gallow Burn which flows from the south-west. Medieval Shield - Knight Hospitaller
The markings on this shield are consistent with those of a knight from the Hospitaller medieval catholic military order which developed in the early 12th century. The order started with the aim of providing care for sick, poor or injured pilgrims and developed into a military religious order acting in defense of the Holy Land. Reference https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knights_Hospitaller The model was made in Zbrush and textures added in Substance Painter. The download includes an STL file for 3d printing with all surface details baked into the geometry - choose 'additional file' at download. For the textured model displayed here choose 'orginal format'. As with all of my models you are free to use it in any way. Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
Hutton Magna Medieval Settlement
This monument includes buried and earthwork remains of part of the medieval settlement of Hutton Magna, situated to the north, south and west of the present churchyard and immediately south east of the manor house known as Hutton Hall. The settlement is visible as the remains of a series of rectangular buildings of long house form, placed around parts of three sides of an open space, interpreted as a large, roughly rectangular village green. More than one phase of settlement is believed to be represented by the remains at Hutton Magna. At the time of the Domesday Survey in 1086, Hutton Magna, then known as Hotune or Huttone, was described as having six geld carucates (plough teams). In a document of 1254 the manor contained a capital messuage, dovecote, brewhouse and a water mill. The rectangular buildings are visible as three discrete groups of earthworks interpreted as the foundations of medieval long houses, associated yards and enclosures. Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab

Medieval Lantern Cross, Penzance churchyard
This rather battered medieval lantern cross can be found in the churchyard of St Mary's Church, Penzance, Cornwall. Legend has is that it was found close to the area now known as the Barbican, where an earlier chapel may have stood. Monuments in this churchyard are often vandalised, so a record of what is left of this monument, considering so little is known about it, is vital. Try switching the the Matcap shader to see more of the surface details. Click on the cog icon on the bottom right of the model, then "Rendering", then "Matcap". Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab

Abberwick Medieval Village Northumberland
The monument includes the deserted remains of the medieval village of Abberwick, the foundations of a tower house and a section of the surviving open field system. The earliest documentary reference to the village at Abberwick is contained in a document of 13th-century date where it was recorded as a member of the barony of Wark on Tweed. In common with other Northumberland villages, the population of the village fell between the end of the 13th century and 1336, when there were only six individuals eligible to pay taxes. The fall in population is usually attributed to devastation of villages by the wars with Scotland, a series of failed harvests and the effects of the Black Death. By the 17th century, the population had recovered and 17 households are recorded, but by the early 18th century the village had been depopulated and all but one of the farms were dispersed to other parts of the township. The remains of the village, the tower and its field system are visible as a series of earthworks. Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab

Portal - Carabias medieval church
The church of El Salvador in the small town of Carabias is one of the jewels of Spanish Romanesque art. Possibly built in the 13th century, its most valuable element is its arcaded gallery that runs along the south and west sides. Its bell tower stands out, located next to the head of the church instead of next to the feet, something very unusual, which forced its builders to introduce an arch at its base to allow access to the arcaded gallery. Inside the church still preserves a large medieval baptismal font carved in stone. We want to publicly thank the collaboration of the Diocesan Delegation of Cultural Heritage of Guadalajara, especially by its cultural delegate Mr. Miguel Ángel Ortega Canales, for the facilities they have given us and for the interest they have shown in the project at all times.
