Multi-beam bathymetry data offshore eastern Java margin
<p>The dataset contains the multi-beam bathymetry map, merged with GEBCO global grid, offshore the eastern Java margin, Sunda arc. The multi-beam data was collected by GEOMAR and BGR in 2006 during Sonne cruise SO190. The merging of the grid file is done by using QGIS 3.16 and saved in NetCDF format.</p>

<p>The dataset contains a socio-economic analysis based on the operation of a macroalgae farm in the Faroe Islands. The production system used in the Faroe Islands has the potential to operate offshore, increased production volumes of biomass and allow for the growth of the macroalgae industry in the Atlantic. The socio-economic calculations include employment generation, gross value added and ripple effects of macroalgae production, at two scenarios of scaled up production, first the sustainable farm size and to the maximum exploitation capacity in the Faroes coastline.</p>

<p>This spreadsheet will be submitted to JGR Solid Earth with a manuscrpt titled "Hydrothermal Seepage of Altered Crustal Formation Water Seaward of the Middle America Trench, Offshore Costa Rica" by Parsons et al. Keywords include Ridge flank, hydrothermal, Middle American Trench, hydrogeology, formation water, and pore water. Three short highlights include:</p> <p>Pore water chemical profiles reveal sediment diagenesis and seepage speeds up to 1.7 cm yr<sup>-1</sup> resulting in a net flux of 0.1 L s<sup>-1</sup>.</p> <p>Crustal formation water is warm (~75ºC) and chemically altered, stemming from water-basalt reactions and diffusive exchange with pore water.</p> <p>This ridge-flank hydrothermal system is not hydrologically connected to the ventilated crust to the west or the trench to the east.</p>

Dataset from: Numerical simulation of fatigue crack growth in offshore mooring chains
<p>A polynomial solution for approximating the stress intensity factor (SIF) along the front of a semi-elliptical crack in a curved round bar has been developed. The normal stress distribution in the crack plane is assumed to be on a cubic polynomial form. Coefficients for the polynomial SIF solution have been calculated using least-squares fitting of finite element analysis results (<em>n</em>=4480 per stress distribution component). </p>

Crustal thicknesses, Moho depths and 3-D density anomaly model for GJI paper: Crustal structure of onshore-offshore Atlantic Canada and environs from constrained 3-D gravity inversion using variable mesh depths by J. Kim Welford
<p>The files are provided as ascii text files in terms of both latitudes/longitudes and eastings/northings. For the 3-D density anomaly model, it is provided with columns of x, y, z, and absolute density. The conversions from latitudes/longitudes to eastings/northings for all of the models and maps in this work are computed with ellipsoid WGS-84 and UTM zone 19 using Generic Mapping Tools.</p>
