The climate of the region is subtropical (Cfa in the K&ouml;ppen-Geiger classification) with an average annual temperature of 18 &deg;C and annual precipitation of 1919 mm (<a href="https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0303243419309481#bib0015">Alvares et al., 2013</a>).
