Cruise measurements (temperature, salinity, density, chlorophyll, C14, phosphate, silicate, nitrate, nitrite) collected from CTD casts aboard CalCOFI cruises in the California Current, and averaged annually and by cruise, from 1984 - 2019 (updated periodically).

Water column bottle sample data averaged across up to 46 standard stations (inshore and offshore) per cruise and then averaged over a varying number of cruises in any one year to give an annual average.

Data from: Structural and catalytic properties of copper silicate nanomaterials

<p><span>Nanosized copper silicates with three different structural morphology (amorphous, nanotubes and MEL) were prepared using different synthesis methods. The physico-chemical properties of copper silicates were characterized by XRD, FT-IR, SEM, HRTEM, N2-physisorption, XPS and H2-TPR techniques. The results indicated that the preparation conditions affect reduction behavior and textural properties of nanosized copper silicates. Hydrothermal synthesis method yielded chrysocolla-like CuSiO3 nanotubes, which possessed high surface area and pore volume with easy reducibility. The catalytic performances of synthesized copper silicate nanostructures were evaluated for dehydrogenation of methanol.<b> </b>It was found that dehydrogenation activity is depended on the structural properties of copper silicates. Highest activity was observed for copper silicates with nanotube morphology. Catalytic dehydrogenation activity of copper silicates was also related to presence of more number of Cu-O-Si species, easy reducibility and Lewis acid centers. The CuSiO3 nanotubes sample also exhibited good stability under investigated reaction conditions that deactivation was not detected for 48 h.</span></p>

Synthesis of novel mesoporous silicate molecular sieves by Aerosol-assisted method for loading and release of drug

<p>The novel mesoporous silicate molecular sieves were synthesized with polyether F127 as the template by aerosol-assisted method for loading and release of ibuprofen. The synthesized samples were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and N2 adsorption-desorption isotherms. The drug ibuprofen was applied as a model drug to investigate the drug release behavior by UV spectrophotometry measurements. The investigation results demonstrate that mesoporous silicate molecular sieves by aerosol-assisted method are spherical with the core-shell structure. As the drug carrier, it has good structural stability and can achieve drug controlled release which is expected. Therefore, the aerosol-assisted synthesis method provides a new idea for the synthesis of sustained-release drug carriers.</p>
