<p>This dataset includes earthquake parameters, slab geometry, gravity anomalies, and fault proximities used for seismic hazard modeling in the Makran Subduction Zone (MSZ). Supplementary Table S1 contains earthquake data (location, depth, magnitude), slab properties (depth, dip, thickness, strike), and distances to key faults. Supplementary Table S2 provides intraslab seismicity, slab geometry, trench distances, and gravity data. The data are sourced from the USGS Earthquake Catalog, IRIS, Slab-2 model, GMRT, and other geophysical models.</p>

Square Antiprismatic Chelation Is a Key Determinant for Potassium Ion Selectivity
<p><strong>DATASETS</strong></p> <p>Archives <em>K_DB.tar.gz</em>, <em>MEMB_DB.tar.gz</em> and <em>PDB70.tar.gz</em> contain models of indentified sites for potassium channels (dataset #1), other membrane proteins, excluding potassium channels (dataset #2) and non-membrane proteins form PDB70 (dataset #3). The name of a folder in the dataset corresponds to PDB ID of a protein for which calculation were made. Each folder contain the following files:</p> <ul> <li><PDB_ID>.pdb — the original pdb file.</li> <li><PDB_ID>.ref — file that contains oxygens and nitrogens from original pdb that were used for scanning.</li> <li><PDB_ID>_COMBS.txt — combinations of atoms that were used for calculations.</li> <li><PDB_ID>_alignment_X.pdb — original template that was aligned to the protein atoms. X denotes a number of the alignment.</li> <li><PDB_ID>_site_X.pdb — this pdb file contains eight atoms that form the site for K+ and which were used for the corresponding alignment X.</li> <li><PDB_ID>_RES.txt — the combinations of protein atoms that form the site are written in square brackets. Distribution. Angola, DR Congo, Malawi, Mozambique, Tanzania, and Zambia. Description. Head-body 46:5-47-8 cm (males), 44-45-5 cm (females), tail 40-43 cm (males), 38-39 cm (females), hindfoot 8:7-9-8 cm (males), 8-9 cm (females), ear 4-7-5-4 cm (males), 5-1-5-8 cm (females); weight 1-3-2 kg. The coat color is pale ocher, with brownish or grayish tones; melanistic individuals are quite common. The throat and chest are blackish, and the ventral pelage varies from creamy white to dirty white. The stripes and spots on the body vary from different hues of brown to black. The nuchal stripes run as two parallel lines from the nape to the shoulders, where they diverge and enlarge towards the elbows; they are not so conspicuously marked as in other genet species. Below them, a pair of thinner stripes and small spots are scattered on the shoulders and sides of the neck. A third pair of thinner, parallel stripes runs down the neck between the nuchal stripes, extending to about one fourth of the mid-dorsal line, where they vanish or diverge as the first row of flank spots. The black mid-dorsal line is continuous and is flanked on each side by four rows of oblong to squared spots, and by a few small-scattered spots below. There is a dorsal erectile crest. The face has a dark mask and a pair of white sub-ocular spots. The tail has seven to nine black rings, alternating with pale rings; the intervening white spaces are pigmented with a brownish tinge on the dorsal midline. The width of the pale rings relative to the dark rings in the middle of the tail is 50-75%; the tip of the tail is dark. The hindlimbs and forelimbs are black; there are white hairs on the metacarpals and metatarsals. [he posterior parts of the feet are dark. There are two pairs of teats. The posterior chamber of the auditory bulla is not ventrally inflated and has a continuous curve line on the external side. Dataset with square plots across Sierra Nevada (Spain) where the contours of all juniper shrubs were annotated as polygons using centimetric GPS and very high resolution aerial and satellite RGB images
<p><strong>This dataset is a shapefile of 767 polygons describing the contours of Juniperus communis L. and Juniperus sabina L. shrubs for the year 2021 in rectangular plots across Sierra Nevada. The coordinates of the polygons were obtained from a field work campaign with a differential centimetric GPS, and their contours were drawn manually in QGIS using the Google Earth satellite image for 2020 and the PNOA aerial image for the 2020. </strong></p> <p><strong>This dataset also contains an excel file describing the features of each polygon: the polygon centroid coordinates, the type of species, the sexgender, the morphotype, the damage in the vegetation cover estimated in the field and telematically, certainty of the digitalization with QGIS and also if the differential centimetric GPS used belongs to the University of Granada or the University of Almeria. </strong></p>

An excerpt from the exhibit: "Although Charleston remained the social center of the South, it declined in commercial importance as the cotton kingdom moved west. The fourth largest American city in 1790, Charleston had fallen to 22nd by 1860. Most of the nation's population growth was in the northern states. With an area population of over 40,000 Charleston was the 5th largest city in the South, behind St. Louis, New Orleans, Baltimore, Washington, DC, and Louisville. This figure included almost 14,000 enslaved and over 3,000 free African-Americans. Rice, cotton, slave trading, shipping and retailing were the basis of the city's economy."
