Relief wall painting. It is located in Český Krumlov a small city in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic where Český Krumlov Castle is located. Wall relief from Nimrud
After Assyria fell in 612 BC, the palace became overgrown and eventually completely buried, in which state it remained for nearly 2,500 years until rediscovered by the British born Austen Henry Layard in 1845.[4] Layard oversaw the excavation of the palace during which time the reliefs that dominated the walls of the structure were removed from the site and sent to collections throughout Europe and North America, with the British Museum receiving the majority of these Nimrud reliefs. Despite excavating and removing many of these reliefs, a great number remained within the palace and were eventually reburied with time. In 1949 M.E.L. Mallowan re-excavated the site, which lasted until 1957, at which time the project was taken over by the Iraq Department of Antiques which still remains in control of the site. Wall of Skulls at Templo Mayor
A tzompantli or skull rack is a type of wooden rack or palisade documented in several Mesoamerican civilizations, which was used for the public display of human skulls, typically those of war captives or other sacrificial victims. It is a scaffold-like construction of poles on which heads and skulls were placed after holes had been made in them. Many have been documented throughout Mesoamerica, and range from the Epiclassic (ca. 600–900 CE) through early Post-Classic (ca. 900–1250 CE). In 2017 archeologists announced the discovery of the Huey Tzompantli, with more than 650 skulls, in the archeological zone of the Templo Mayor in Mexico city. This inscribed stone is built into wall at the main entrance gate into to Cadder Parish Churches graveyard. The latin writing on the stone, much of which has worn away, seems to be a commemorative stone marking the completion of the churches construction in 1829. Final Extent of Trench 03 and Wall [M01]
Trench 03 consisted of two similar deposits, a redeposited natural consisting of sandy clay (301) and a darker silty clay (302), both with heavy deposits of large mortar and masonry. The larger portions of mortar exhibited clear evidence of where it once adhered to the surrounding masonry. This mortar is of the same type found in wall [M01] The masonry also appears of a similar dimension to the smallest blocks in wall [M01] as it stands today. Relatively few finds were found in these contexts, with most finds being small fragments of pottery and fragments of one three pipestems and one small pipe bowl. This early clay pipe and a single sherd of ham green ware suggests a simmilar origin for this context to (201) and (206). This suggests that wall 01 was pulled down to its current height and natural clay robbed from areas behind the fort wall, mixed wall mortar and packing material as it was moved, was deposited to create the current mound. Record of outer face of Wall [M001] (HARP)
This model was created by Ben Watson (2nd Year student) to record the outer face of Wall [M001] that splits Trench 01 NW-SE. Currently one or two of the stones are starting to come loose, so before they fall out, we decided to recorded the full wall as it is. The top of the wall is recorded in our UAV models (coming soon!) This will also help us not only get an acturate record of what the wall looks (or looked!) like, but we can also create [orthographic images](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orthographic_projection) of the wall, that can then be used for very accurate wall drawings. Ruined walls (of a watermill)
Old ruined walls of a watermill like structure in Hungary, scanned with an A6000 for some photogrammetry practice. The water wheel and a large iron cog connected to it didn't came out right in the scan, but I might modell it by hand myself in the future for some Blender practice. One of the corners were covered with ivy's. Tried out handheld shooting with this scan and got some good, stable results with carefully controlling the shutter speed. The middle section of the building was filled with brushes and shrubs hence the messy texture. There were also a lot of holes on the ground, I fixed them in Blender by inserting and aligning a simple plane over them with vertex snapping enabled for a better fit.I also run it trough Instant Meshes and finaly retextured in Agisoft in the end.
